This was a really good article that illustrates how Trump can damage the country without "doing" anything. How his instability, vindictiveness, and untrustworthiness alone undermine the proper functioning of the federal government. Nominally it is about how Trump's tweets targeting of Amazon for political reasons undermine (perhaps fatally) any legitimate anti-trust action against the company.
Cohen needs to release every episode of this show, right now, before the other people he exposed as assholes get an opportunity to go into damage control. He must have friction burn from jacking off so much to the latest threats towards Iran. He may not have to resort to stealing pennies off dead soldiers’ eyes for much longer.
Holy shit there is seriously an unprecedented level of people who worked with Russians in this administration. It's seriously mindboggling.
I guess me teaching myself Russian for the past two years will come in handy after all. Just not in the way I had hoped.
And don't let it be said that this is some fake internet quote. https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1021784726217142273?s=19 Gee, you think he's laying the groundwork for "the Democrats cheated with Russian help!" in November? What a trip it would be if his pal Putin didn't make a few statements to that effect, just because. It's really all he'd have to do, and the Trumpers would believe him.
This is them using the fact that it’s widely known that Russia, in its various forms, played a major role in 2016. Now they can say that Russia did it again to try to invalidate the results in November when a they flip the house. And maybe the senate. As disgusting a tactic as it is, it’s a win/win for Trump. If the gop makes a good showing this November, Trump can gloat about his popularity. If they get hosed, they can blame Russia.
Does he think everyone in your country has a “50 First Dates” memory or something? When has he been hard on Russia, that one time when Vaseline wasn’t applied first?
Why yes, it would seem that he does. http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow/...-transcript-1284716611545?playlist=associated
Anyone else listen to the Cohen/Trump tape? There was just an article about deep fake news on Drudge , and think the next logical step for strong supporters of Trumps behaviour will be deep fake news. They will question the authenticity of actual evidence so that they can continue their support.
There’s no getting these people back anymore. I’ve written them off entirely. People who are eagerly willing to lie to themselves to prop up their own false narrative aren’t worth the deprogramming effort. Either they will learn or they won’t. Former supporters who are losing their patience and are starting to see what Trump actually is, they are gettable. But Trump has painted the narrative so thoroughly and with his rhetoric, tried to destroy the integrity of the Mueller investigation, that the findings, when they are released, will be immediately ignored or called into question. There is no amount of direct evidence that will convince them.
To be fair I very rarely bring up politics in real life so I know some people personally who were trumper's but I'm not sure how deep it runs. The next few months will be very interesting to see how many strong supporters he has versus people who are open to listening.
Honestly the Mueller investigation might be dead anyway (at least in a court of law), no matter what the results are at this point. There is too much reasonable doubt regarding how the investigation was performed. If he loses, it will be at the polls most likely. And regardless of the results of the investigation, he should be voted out of office anyway.
Other than Trump and Co. screaming "Witch Hunt", I'm not sure what you're referring to... what reasonable doubt?
So now the White House has edited the Putin/Trump video to remove the questions about whether Putin wanted Trump in office... and the Kremlin has also removed that same section from their transcript. https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/entry...-press-conference_us_5b5837d6e4b0fd5c73ca30ca http://en.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/58017 "Fake News" indeed...
Peter Strzok. I think the issue of his perceived bias (which cant be definitively proven) will be enough to raise doubt. Its pretty well-known that investigators that have even appear to have a bias or a conflict of interest are supposed to remove themselves from an investigation, period. He was the lead investigator for the FBI and did not do that. The DOJ Inspector General found no concrete evidence of bias affecting his investigation. But whether or not he committed actual misconduct doesn't matter, even if it should. He was also removed from the investigation months before it was made public, to some back office HR position at the FBI. Another note is, conflict of interest laws, which are mostly geared toward financial dealings but have been citied elsewhere, often include professional lives as well as personal ones. Again, there is no evidence that he had actual bias that affected his job. But thats not how reasonable doubt works. Unless theres some massive smoking gun yet to be revealed (which may be soon since its supposed to be wrapped up in September), I dont think I see Trump being convicted for anything.
