Trump probably has an abortion punch card completely devoid of any remaining space. When that shit comes out, I’d like to see the “pro life” mental gymnastics around that.

Somewhere along the lines of "he's a changed man, the Lord forgives those who better themselves, he will do right from now on". It's easy when you can always pass the buck upwards.

If it comes out that he's paid for a number of abortions, I'd be really interested to see how Pence reacts. The dude is HARD CORE about that shit, and the opportunity to overturn RvW was a big reason he came aboard with Trump (if you believe the coverage).

Come to think of it, I hardly ever hear anything at all about or from Pence...

Kind of interesting, considering the fact that if Trump steps down or is removed, Pence is next up to bat.

I think Pence is implicated in all this. He’s a direct Manafort pick for a reason.

The rationalization I’ve heard is straight, we knew what we were getting into when we signed up thus ANY behavior that would normally be objectionable is mute.

The whole baked into the cake theory. I’ve heard that too. It’s a sad justification for allowing this man and his administration to absolutely corrode any sense of normalcy and take shits on the rule of law. Not saying that you’re justifying his behavior, it’s just the explanation I’ve heard.

Being that the GOP has always tried to pride it on being the law and order party, it’s pretty rich watching them sit quietly with tacit support of everything he is doing. Silence really is acceptance. Especially when abusing the power of being the majority party. “It’s our guy, so the rules don’t apply.”

As to what his "actual" beliefs are, a narcissist has no beliefs other than that which serves his own ego, but in terms of what he has said publicly and what he has promised his base, he's been pretty clear: "I am pro-life," "I will appoint pro-life judges," and "abortion should be illegal."

Jeff Sessions has announced the creation of a "Religious Liberty Task Force" to combat "A dangerous movement undetected by many [that] is challenging and eroding our great tradition of religious freedom." Early reports are that the task force went around the DoJ's office measuring the length of women's skirts and telling people to report "anything that seems faggy." *

*this part was satire, for now

It boggles my mind how conservatives can sneer at "snowflakes" for getting safe spaces in college.........while then demanding government mandated safe spaces so they don't have to deal with gay people being gay.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Your nation’s top law enforcement officer said that. Out loud.

“Greatest Country In The World”. It can finally and officially be said sarcastically.

Of course all that pales in comparison to the number of Native Americans (North and South) wiped out by people wanting to colonize their land. It's just a fun reminder when people think islam is so bad. In reality, anything, when taken to the extreme, can be horrible. Religion, sports fandom, alcohol and drugs, sex, gambling, politics. The extremes of all those are where the evil truly exists.

I can’t wait to meet the real team of crack cowboys who will ride Jesus's golden chuckwagon through America to deliver Apple Pie and Prayer Crosss necklaces to all the heretics. Let’s get these critically thinkin’ fools back on God’s team!

“Task Force”. That is awesome. They’re a “force”. Like they’ll be kicking doors down and throwing holy water in people’s faces. Wherever logic exists, they’ll be there to rescue you from it.

I mean at this point they're just employees of the DoJ who will harass other employees of the DoJ for fairly enforcing the law. Virginity checkpoints on the highway don't come until after the 2020 election.

Is your Department Of Justice supposed to be politicized?

If Sessions said “We’re beefing up our defence bedget to combat leprechauns” it would sound no less stupid. Because leprechauns get mentioned as often in actual science and history books as the things he’s standing up for.

Just as a quick rule of thumb: almost nothing the Trump Administration is doing is "supposed" to be done.
