So in other news, there was going to be an attempted smear on Mueller with an attempted bribe on a woman to make up sexual assault allegations against Mueller. Several weird little Trump sycophants tried to warn of an impending story. One, a weird little fucker named Jacob Wahl set up fake intelligence company to source the fake information back to.

The problem was, he set the domain under his actual name and the phone number for it was his mom’s number.

The Mueller team got a whiff of this story and reported it to the FBI. So now the story of the falsification came out before the actual “story” dropped and people might actually go to jail for it.

As they should go to jail if the allegations prove to be true in a court of law.

The women who were approached spoke to reporters about what was offered to them.

Straight out of the plot of a Tom Clancy novel.

What the fuck are they doing down there? This guy is a “teenage hedge fund manager” and looks exactly how you imagine him to look: the quintessential private school date-rapist.

I'd love to see any evidence of these "illegals" inflating voter rolls anywhere, like they just cross the border and are instantly registered.

Oh, so it's born and bred American citizens voting for the party they feel will look out for them. Guess the Republicans should offer them a better deal, then.

I mean okay. I don’t think it’s that simple. I know it’s anecdotal but you’d be surprised at some of the attitudes of Hispanics around here towards people coming illegally. Especially the ones that went through the arduous process of getting a visa and then a green card. Taking more than 10 years in some cases. They feel like if they had to go through the process, so should everyone else.

It’s far more nuanced than you describe. But even if they don’t want their own people coming here illegally, they still don’t like the way the GOP treats brown people in general. That’s just what my friends tell me.

Personally, I’m far more concerned about the way white people treat others than Mexicans.

And I think it’s perfectly okay for a state to represent the people who live there. Maybe if we close and move some more polling places, we can make it harder for them though.

Citizenship alone took me 10 years, that's after I was already a legal alien. The system is broken, and I wouldn't wish this bureaucratic nightmare on anyone. So I'm not at all surprised people would rather risk life and health in an illegal crossing, the odds are better. In their shoes I'm sure I'd do the same thing, so I don't judge.

New Mexico’s current governor is a hispanic woman whose paternal grandparents immigrated illegally, and yet, she is a pretty staunch Republican as far as I know (I don’t follow New Mexico politics closely).

My future in laws, one of which is Mexican from Mexico also came here illegally and now she hates immigrants. Nothing truly makes sense. And the whole point of my post above is that the other poster assumed they were all liberal dems treating their families like they were emptying a clown car into this country. That cannot he assumed and their vote cannot be taken for granted.

There’s only three solutions to the immigration issue:

    1) Deport 12-20 million people, which is stupid.

    2) Deport anyone with a criminal record or commits a crime. And do nothing with the rest. The issue will essentially work itself out within a generation of American-born citizens.

    3) Deport criminals and grant full amnesty.

Options 2 and 3 only work if you have an agreement for subsequent border enforcement. And it would require actual cooperation between both parties. The Gang of Eight failed to do this exact thing in the 80s because the Democrats backed out of the enforcement part after they got the amnesty. Now the Republicans won’t budge because of the amnesty issue. If real cooperation can happen, then this can be worked out. Immigration is as silly a bipartisan issue as climate change.

If Trump is the grand deal maker he brags about bring, Id like to see that happen.

On the topic of the fake Mueller smear: at what point do we treat a Republican accusing someone else of unethical or illegal behavior as a straight out confession by said Republican, admissable in a court of law? Literally everything they accuse the Democrats of doing are things they're doing themselves.

He tweeted the same thing last year the week before Halloween. I mean, if the internet is going to out you as being the Zodiac killer, what better way to throw off law enforcement, than to "pretend" to be him.

The most recent poll at the moment only has Cruz up by 3. If there is one potential upset that might make me spontaneously orgasm if it actually happened this would be it.

You're from Texas. Do the Cruz voters there actually like him, or is it just "We can't give the democrats a senate seat."? I have to assume someone out there thinks he represents them well, but that in itself is a mystery.

After the way he got embarrassed in his presidential bid, and then to lose to a democrat IN TEXAS. Oh man, that would be the single greatest thing in American politics, in like, years. This is the state that had Rick Perry as their governor.

I still don't think he loses, but here's to hoping.

I know some people who like him, but those are also the people who freely admit they have never watched a debate and can't name his opponent in this election.

I know a lot of people who vote for him, and those are the ones who vote straight ticket GOP because "we can't let the lib-ruls win!!"

These are the type people who vote for ted cruz:

I wouldn't say that short clip is totally devoid of truth, but it's shit like that that makes me so disgusted with the democratic party as well. It can never be people voting republican because liberal policies have fucked them over, or because their own candidates they nominate suck, or because liberal economics are a total mess at the moment, or because liberals just in general have acted like raging dickheads for at least a decade by now. It always has to be "they're racist, they're stupid" or some variant thereof.

The lack of awareness from this kind of asshole rhetoric really astounds me.

I'm not directing this at you, or really anyone in particular, but can't you see how a pretty normal person can see stuff like and just think "Wow, what a bunch of pricks."

I'd say it's probably an 80/20 split between people who don't want a Democrat, and people who actually like him.

I try to avoid talking to people about politics these days, but the ones I've talked to who support Cruz break down about like that.

If he does lose (fingers crossed), I hope he kills himself.

I expected it to be that way, because no decent, intelligent or sane human being could possibly like him. He’s like a James Bond villain with Down Syndrome.
