Perhaps he would. Or perhaps he'd find what GOP investigators have found in the last 26 years. Not much, and not for lack of trying.
Pardoning Marc Rich isn't nothing, but it's so nothing-adjacent I can't bring myself to care. Trump has already pardoned two people who did far worse than Rich and that's the least of what Trump has done.
It’s a moot point anyways until indictments are brought. We can go in circles debating but it’s of no value without action.
Scooter Libby was indicted, tried, and convicted. Joe Arpaio was found guilty of criminal contempt of court. Trump's pardon of these two already eclipses Clinton's pardon of Marc Rich, even if Trump has done nothing else wrong (which he most certainly fucking has).
You shitting me? Scooter Libby was convicted of obstruction of justice, lying to the FBI, and perjury, in a case about how the Vice President of the United States retaliated against a CIA officer because her husband opposed an illegal war. Joe Arpaio refused to comply with a court order that essentially said "stop the systemic and state-sponsored violation of civil rights of an ethnic minority in your jurisdiction." Not to mention how many rape cases he had to ignore investigating in order to focus on being the racist piece of shit he was.
Arpaio also refused to jail one of his own officers for stealing court documents DURING a trial. Right on camera. He was a crime boss who wore a badge, a hypocritical traitor who deserves to be stood in front of a wall and shot. Trump pardoned him basically to appeal his pro-police anti-Hispanic followers, completely deaf to how much of a xenophobic and sociopathic cunt he was for basically his entire “policing” career.
Both the Clinton and Trump pardons were disgusting and appalling. But the Clintons haven’t been in the White House in 18 years. What they did is past and can’t be changed. Trump still has plenty of time to pardon more pathetic excuses for human beings. That is what should concern us, not what Slick Willy did 20 years ago.
Until we hold both sides accountable, the bipartisan bickering won’t stop. Otherwise we’ll continue the cycle forever. You damn well know Democrats will continue this into the next administration. Same standards for both parties at all times.
The National Climate Assessment, issued by Trump's own administration (but attempted to be buried by releasing it on Black Friday) indicates that consequences from climate change are already here, and will only get worse. If you're not voting with this as your #1 issue, you're not doing your job as a citizen.
WIRED: Robert Mueller's Endgame May Be in Sight Includes some really damning details on the latest stuff with Manafort, and it includes more info on the investigation in general than I have read anywhere else. Definitely worth a read. Hey look I posted this in the right thread this time!
Rumors of Zuckerberg running for President..... It’d be scary if it weren’t so unbelievable. The guy has the personality of wallpaper. He’d be obliterated in any debate. I can’t think of a single CEO with a more punchable face than that guy.
Right now Zuck is just trying to keep from having control of his company sued out from under him for the insane shit he perpetrated and allowed to happen.
Not a CEO but ted cruz is pretty damn close. I'd like to see zuck run for president. In the sense that it'd be hilarious to see him get destroyed on a national stage over and over again.
Why is he running? Did the Winklevoss twins announce that they were running first? Does anybody even like him? Has anybody EVER liked him?
