Sure. But arguably, what the country needs more are people who say these things... And realize that means they shouldn't vote for Trump. Someone whose strategy wasn't to let his ideas on merit as he never really gave any of his policies in full (he mostly just says what sounds good or is convenient), never articulated what his policies really were effectively (did you watch the fucking debates?), willingly says shit to whip up the slackjawed racists (they were obviously encouraged by him and that's not coincidence), and denies reality by saying things like: global warming was a hoax created by the Chinese, Obama isn't really a citizen, his win is a landslide and historic victory, etc. etc. etc. And you don't think your side is the good one? That's sort of odd. I mean, I've read about a million posts from yourself and other Trump supporters who said that Hillary Clinton is a hell bitch who obviously committed treason (lol, sure). Doesn't that make your side the good side? Trump supporters believe he is the person who will save America. They believed him when he says things like, "I alone can fix it" about problems. Also, I have to say we agree on one thing. Wikileaks never editorialized, nope, they wouldn't do such a thing. They just posted links to the emails and left it alone. Sure, buddy, sure.
Read an interview with Assange earlier and he said that they don't have even a single person who speaks Russian on their staff. Jesus Christ Wikileaks, are you even trying?
Something is up here. I bought that he had a personal grudge against Hillary and while he didnt necessarily favor Trump winning, he favored her losing. But something else is going on. I wish we had a non-partial entity that could potentially use unsavory tactics to route out the truth, oh wait.
Exposing a corrupt piece of shit who cheated and abused the system is just so unfair. Like the part where someone 'rigged' the general election by exposing the DNC rigging the primaries. We should ignore anything the DNC or Hillary did and be as outraged as possible towards everyone who shed light on it. Truth is a dangerous weapon, and we need to do a better job of protecting and supporting liars. Especially if they are clearly using the system for personal gain more than acting in the interests of people these positions exist for. If the democrats tell me to blame everything on Russia, I'll do it, 100%. Before that it was Comey and fake news. We love our fake news that had so many people acting hysterical and thinking we were reverting a century back in time. Americans can't legitimately decide how to vote unless they vote with OUR PARTY. Did I get that right?
According to the standards set forth by your God Emperor, wouldn't that just make her smart? The irony here is overwhelming. Trump lies so shamelessly and so frequently the media didn't even know how to cover his lies. Here's one: he repeatedly said he couldn't release his tax returns. Oh yeah, remember he made his name in politics by peddling the racist lie that Obama wasn't a citizen. You dodge that bit like Trump dodges taxes. And he has already personally profited from his position and will continue to do so every day he is in office. Foreign governments will literally have a channels to line his pockets. Not the pockets of a highly regarded charity. His own personal pockets. So much for the frothing at the mouth about the emoluments clause. We would know more about this, but oh yeah, he wouldn't release his tax returns. So yes, you did support a liar and a cheat. You got that right.
Such a hot and clever take. Minus the part where his show was on a channel called Comedy Central. Satire isn't the same thing as something pretending to be real. Equating Jon Stewart to the shit that was popping up in the 2016 election is bullshit and you know it.
Regretfully, the entire generation took Jon at his word. Equating either Stewart or 'Fake News' as anything other than bullshit......that's something. This is how we end up with interviews on the street about political questions where nobody has any idea who Washington, Franklin, Adams or Jefferson were.
I'm just wondering if we can hit the point where this country is so stupid we're considering whether SNL is the most trustworthy news source in America. Judging by the comments on some of their spoof clips we're almost there.
We just elected Donald Trump. We're well past that point of stupid. We're in deep uncharted stupid now.
Since we're still chewing the bone of how we ended up with Trump I found this interesting. Instead of pulling opinions out of their ass or heavily editing rally interviews they asked the voters. It's a refreshing turn from the intellectually empty partisan think pieces publications have been churning out. Unsurprisingly the reasons are quite diverse, and generally have little to do with the caricature of deplorables write ups. A few I found interesting:
I read that piece when it first came out. It, and other pieces that quote Trump supporters directly, are among the most infuriating things I've ever read.
Well, I do think that says a lot about the cultural aspects of why people are getting sick of the left. Trump has problems, my biggest concern is his temperament, but it's also a bit ridiculous to compulsively take any random hypothetical and just charge into the abyss, which is essentially what a lot of this thread has been in respect to every appointment. You can't look at the DNC and Hillary's scandals, and act like they're irrelevant. These were major, not little problems. People are so rabidly obsessed with the democrat GOOD republican BAD false narrative it seems to be seriously blinding their ability to look at things objectively.
Alternatively, people (you) are so rabidly obsessed with the Hillary Clinton = Evil false narrative it seriously blinded their (your) ability to look at things objectively. Stop acting like your Mr. Objective when your posts about her have been unhinged nonsense from day 1 (remember that treason accusation you tried to level against her?) And I'm not even sure Hillary Clinton = Evil should be technically called a false narrative. I think we should start calling it the Russian Narrative. You know that's what they wanted you to believe right? Their propaganda effort was super effective with you. You should reflect on that. Also, the right has been feeding their base liberals = evil/bad for the past 8 years, starting with the birther bullshit your guy championed. Even someone halfway sane like Marco Rubio said President Obama was intentionally trying to destroy America. Big leap from "policies will destroy America" to "he wants to destroy America."
I'm not really for real about the Russian Narrative. They didn't even the Hillary = Evil bit. That's been in place for a long, long, time. As for everything else? I stand by my take. But I'm sure you still won't believe I'm for real, so good luck finishing out 2016.
At this point it is hypothetical but in the event that Obama gives Hillary Clinton a pardon what are everyone's thoughts on that? To me, I cannot look at it as anything more that politics as usual - everything I hate about our system. Frankly, I also look at that as an admission of guilt on the part of the Administration and Hillary herself. You wouldn't need a pardon if you had followed the law. It remains to be seen whether or not a pardon will occur obviously, but if it does, that basically tells me all I need to know about her.
Ford pardoned Nixon, and a lot of people believe that's the reason he lost his election bid in 1976. So, even though Obama isn't up for reelection, it might tarnish his legacy. He killed Bin Laden, which will stand, but with Obamacare potentially being up for recall, Obama may be worried about what other memorable record he leaves behind. Personally, I think he should just pardon her and everybody move on. Nixon resigned in shame, but eventually, he was mostly forgiven and even spoken well of at his funeral.
She hasnt been indicted for anything. How can she get a pardon before that occurs? And if she does accept a pardon, thats more or less an admission of guilt on her part. Also, I dont see how he could pardon her and not Bradley Manning or Snowden for similar crimes. Propaganda? Was there anything leaked that was categorically false? And it hasnt been proven that the Russian government orchestrated any of it.
I'd call this Russian propaganda: https://www.rt.com/op-edge/365204-clinton-us-investigation-justice/ Propaganda doesn't have to be categorically false. The info contained in the leaks was blown way out of proportion. Do you think Russian online trolls were offering up reasonable and objective takes? And come on. Russia didn't do it? Here's a question: why would the CIA and all the other intelligence agencies make their lives harder by saying something that would piss off their new boss if it wasn't the truth? Senator Lindsey Graham and President Obama agree about the Russians. That's a pretty good indicator that it's not partisan bullshit.
