    The GSA signed off on the transition procedures after Michigan certified today. And because Congress was talking about slapping the GSA administrator with contempt charges. Trump made an ambiguous tweet supporting the GSA's actions, but couching it as a response to the "harassment" the administrator has received, and maintained his belief that he will "prevail" in the end. The usual Trump bullshit.

    There’s also unnamed sources saying the secret service is asking who wants to be part of the Mar-a-Lago detail, but the secret service won’t comment on shit like that for security reasons.

    There are some serious physical improvements going on "in the name of security" to the place, so it will be beyond hilarious if they dump all this cash into renos/upgrades only to be kicked out. Never mind it's always been a seasonal resort... who knows how it'll work if someone is now living there year round?

    It may take years, but if the right-wing doesn't pull back from the path they're on, this country is inevitably going to fall apart. You can't have half the country supporting this level of open corruption and bad faith and expect the cohesion of the nation to hold.

    Honest question, what are Democrats supposed to do here? Just say "Oh well, I guess Republicans get to commit crimes now"? Stick their heads in the sand and pretend that everything is normal until our institutions completely collapse? Push back and hope that #MurrahChallenge doesn't start trending on twitter as the conspiracy theories get inexorably more insane and violent?

    What the Democrats should do is compel Flynn to testify against the tRump administration because he can no long use the 5th amendment's protections against self incrimination.

    Then go after everyone who was involved with his operations as an undeclared foreign agent.

    If he refuses hold him on contempt of court charges until he changes his mind.

    The precedent has already set with the treatment of Chelsea Manning by the DOJ.

    Kimberly Guilfoyle makes me think both more and less of Gavin Newsom. More because of the herculean strength it must have taken to stay sane while being married to her, and less for the horrifically poor judgment it took to get that deep in the first place.
