They have shown zero evidence, nor have they even properly stated any claims other than "we lost and that must be wrong". To say that they have been smacked down hard is an understatement... there's a reason so many of Trump's initial lawyers are fucking off in a hurry and distancing themselves from this... there's nothing there. https://lawandcrime.com/2020-electi...stating-rejection-of-trump-pennsylvania-case/ The Third Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously rejected the 45th president’s efforts to stop the certification of the Keystone State’s 2020 election results. In an opinion penned by Trump-appointed U.S. Circuit Judge Stephanos Bibas, the three-judge panel upheld a prior ruling by U.S. District Judge Matthew Brann which castigated the president’s attempt “to disenfranchise almost seven million voters” under the cover of “strained legal arguments without merit.” Using equally cutting rhetoric, Judge Bibas excoriated the Trump campaign’s continued efforts to throw out valid ballots and swing the election for the current occupant of the White House. “Charges of unfairness are serious,” the judge wrote. “But calling an election unfair does not make it so. Charges require specific allegations and then proof. We have neither here.”
If that’s the case, which it probably would be, good for them. I’m only contemplating far fetched what-ifs because Trump will play any card he can to keep his power, he’s desperate and coasting on fumes now. And he still lost.
A lot of these people have been serious legal practitioners long before Trump got involved with them. Even if some of them have hard ideological leanings, they are far smarter than Trump and are not willing to completely trash their own reputations by completely upending democracy. Trump and his people haven’t presented a serious legal question so far. They’ve made serious accusations, but none have been backed up by anything. A serious accusation does not automatically give you standing to go before the Supreme Court, even if you’re the president. Trump is of the mentality that everything in life is transactional. I give you a seat on the court, you throw cases my way. I endorse you for governor of Georgia, you interfere in the election to make sure I win Georgia. He really, truly feels that everything in life is some sort of quid pro quo. Now that he is failing on all fronts, watch him burn down all the GOP politicians who don’t sufficiently debase themselves to help him win. As a malignant narcissist, everyone exists for his benefit. If he feels they didn’t do enough, even though they’ve done nothing but carry his water for 4 years, they are now RINOs conspiring against him and were never worthy of the office they hold. We should actually feel very lucky right now that Trump is more stupid than evil. He is without a doubt, the dumbest, most incomprehensibly smooth brained subhuman to have ever held office.

These are the days where I wonder if I'm being stupid by going into work instead of just grifting Trump supporters: https://twitter.com/yashar/status/1333144973357719552
SUPREME COURT IS APPOINTED FOR LIFE. Barrett was was basically sitting at the kiddie-table of the judiciary before she got appointed. Kavanaugh (He'll always be "Boofin' Brett" to me) has a lot of skeletons in his closet. I wouldn't be surprised to see them make some blatantly corrupt/ illogical decision to "pay their debt", and then tell the rest of the country to suck it, like a tenured college professor telling his students to suck it when he was being a dick the whole semester. Yeah, and I'm really worried about what they're going to throw at us in 2024, when it's an incumbent Black-woman president, and the lower-class white dipshits are finally starting to see the REAL effects of Trump's "tax cut" affect their income. This may be off-topic, but it is the political thread, and it's about Trump's tax-cut: Spoiler Did ANY OF YOU see any benefits from it? I still take home the same amount, but I DIDN'T GET ANYWHERE NEAR THE REFUND THAT I DID IN THE YEARS PRIOR. About $1K less. And it's only going to get worse in 2021. And worser in 2022... I think y'all see where this is going.
My taxes dropped by about 30k after the law passed. Sure, that might have been because I didn't work for a year, but that's just a libtard talking point.
There's also the factoid that if they succeed in upending democracy and installing Trump for a second term, the system will effectively be destroyed and their "reputation" will no longer matter. They will remain lifelong appointees to a despot's Supreme Court. At that point it's either armed revolt or meek acceptance.
Except they can be impeached. The House needs only a simple majority to impeach a Supreme Court justice or any federal judge. To convict and then remove the justice or judge, the Senate requires a two-thirds majority. The hard part is defining what is an impeachable offense as the constitution only states that a judge "must act in good behavior"
Barr just told the AP that the DOJ couldn't find evidence of widespread voter fraud that would have changed the 2020 election. How long before Diaper Don fires him?
Hahahah. That’s great. I was listening to a podcast with one of the Lincoln project guys and they said the actress who does the voice overs in those ads has a specific effect on his psyche. A hot sounding female saying humiliating things to him pushes a very specific button in his Swiss cheese brain. Knowing how much he hates women, this makes sense.
I know it’s been the worst of years, but it must be a little comforting that actual adults with functioning brains will be somewhat in charge of your country again. ....and he was the worst and most obviously corrupt one USA has had yet, and they ALL have sucked. Not even a little, but a lot.
