No shit? I wasn't joking, if only I weren't on a budget when I traveled through there, it might have been me getting compliments on my sick buffalo hat.

They should already be in jail. Where are the manhunts? Capitol terrorists get to go home and sleep it off? They know who they are, they should already be in braclets.

The idiots posting pictures of themselves in the capital didn't realize the were committing a federal crime. A lot of them will be going to jail shortly.

The one time in history where everyone wears a mask, and they chose not to. Trump supporters truly are the lowest common denominator of Western society. They need to atone for this shit, as hard as possible.

If his presidency wasn’t in its death rattle he would. He pardoned child-killing mass murderers. NOTHING is beneath him.

Pelosi and Schumer are now calling for Trump's removal.

    https://www.axios.com/trump-25th-am...mer-7be7bc55-64c9-48d7-9e9e-3a97d844afc9.html

Normally I'd say this is just bullshit and the Republicans won't do jack shit about it, but after last night... I get the sense that more and more R's are cutting any and all ties with Trump, and see no real value in keeping him in office any more. Failure to do something solid as a result of last night might look bad.

    I don't know...

What do the R's around here think? You think Trump should be removed, or just let him ride it out for another 13 days?

To be honest... I was pleasantly surprised with how Pence handled shit last night. He seemed to do the Right Thing and wasn't just the lapdog I was expecting him to be.

Theres honestly no political downside to removing him. You'd have every dem and probably could shake loose 16 republicans to vote him out. It gives the dipshits political cover to vote no while still breathing a sigh of relief that the loose cannon is gone.

The House sergeant-at-arms has resigned. Schumer says his first order as senate leader will be firing its sergeant-at-arms. Pelosi has also demanded the firing or resignation of the Capitol police chief.

We'll, he's got to turn over power to Pence sometime soon so he can get his pardon.

The NY Times is reporting that he's considering a self pardon before he leaves office. It's never been tried before. So he would have to be charged with something just to test the strength of such a move. Goes without saying that the precedent that would set would be absolutely devastating and essentially lets the president commit whatever federal crimes they choose while in office.

Probably because Pence won't pardon him.

I mean, you saw that he unfollowed Trump on Twitter, right? That's way worse than "it's complicated".

If he tries that, is there any legal standing to strike it down?

He's flat out mentally unstable which meets the criterion for invoking the 25th amendment. Unfortunately, I don't think Pence or enough of his cabinet have the balls to do it.
