I agree and I think the reason they think they are the majority is the same reason that the far left twittersphere also thinks they are the majority as well. The online feedback loop in a personally curated social media space can make people think there are far larger numbers of people just like them. "How could Trump have lost when his rally crowds were so large?" is a good example.
Literally "play stupid games, win stupid prizes". You want to storm the Capitol and lynch a few Congresspeople without even the courtesy of wearing a mask and preventing some asymptomatic transmission? Prepare for the FBI to identify you and pass your name along to other agencies. Maybe that TX realtor can give you a ride on her private jet. https://mobile.twitter.com/RayRedacted/status/1348388601118273537
THERE IS A CITY NAMED "ALAMO" IN THE VALLEY. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THERE IS A WHOLE LOT MORE OF TEXAS SOUTH OF SAN ANTONIO. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alamo,_Texas Trump is coming to the Valley, and a bunch of people down here don't like it.
I bet that's exactly what they thought. That the coup would succeed, the election voided, Trump coronated, and all would be right in their world. If they entertained failure at all, they figured they'd just go home, no harm done. "Patriot" privilege.
Elizabeth from Knoxville really summed up the mentality of a lot of these idiots. Openly declaring that they were "storming the capitol" as part of a "revolution" and still shocked that the police responded with non-lethal measures.
Elizabeth from Knoxville was a crisis actor/ attention-whore with an onion in her towel. After laughing at that video for the first few times, I remembered thinking "she looks to be in pretty good shape for getting maced." I've seen guys get maced in prison, and there's a lot more mucous.
I saw somewhere that onions help combat the effects of pepper spray and that's why she had it. But, it doesn't make sense that she's so surprised that she got sprayed if she was expecting it.
https://twitter.com/RiegerReport/status/1348354110890913797?s=19 Ship is sinking. Colin Powell has left the Republican party behind.
So she went to the "revolution" with an onion in case she got maced? Now that I think about it, either answer could work... Proud "patriot" ready to storm the capitol with an anti-mace onion and a piano-print scarf (instead of some goggles or a gas-mask)... OR! OR, crisis-actor/ attention-whore brings onion to make it LOOK like she's a "patriot" who got maced! But what do I know? I'm just a skilled tradesman with no college degree, so media doesn't want to listen to me.
I think that she is a fascist who wanted to "look good" for the cameras while complaining about how terrible she was treated while fighting for her liberty. She is also a coward who would have never put herself in a position to get maced. Or maybe gasmasks are are for the libs and she's about as smart as all of those asshole who are now waking up to a FBI interview.
okay, so let's go with this train of thought. Let's assume she was a "crisis actor" (if those are a thing). What goal would that serve? What agenda would that promote?
He was always a solid and respected Republican, one who either side was always willing to listen to. Granted they shouldn’t have listened to some of the shit he said about Iraq, but he was in the most terrible company then.
Weird hypothetical... you're armed, and the President of the US looks at you and says, "shoot that guy right there". And you do. Forget his power to pardon, etc... is that a legit reason to break the law?
No. Even in the military it is a crime to obey an illegal order. For a civilian who is under no obligation to obey orders of any kind, it's a total non starter as a defense.
It isn't. Chain of command means that the president's orders need to follow that line of people. So telling a civilian "You're conscripted and go do this thing." is an illegal order that breaks the chain of command. Also I'm pretty sure that conscripting people is a convoluted process that isn't something that can be done by Executive Order.
