Ive got black friends. That means I can't be racist right?* * From my friends bachelor party a few weeks ago in Vegas.
Deadwood is such a bad ass show. Deadwood and The Wire cancelled prematurely. HBO has some balls. In a strange world where there are only ten inches in a foot?
Pretty sure The Wire ran its course and they ended it when appropriate. Deadwood was bamboozled by HBO, sucks because Ive watched it 3 times now and think it is probably the best show theyve ever done. Fucking shitty they never ended it properly. Ive only seen snippets of Game of Thrones, how the fuck can that cost any less to produce?
[/quote] I wish they would just pull there heads out and do the rumored Deadwood movie at least, but that will never happen.
You guys smoke weed and think rap music? Have some imagination people. ... And I don't even touch the stuff.
Thanks WDT and TiB, I needed you. This has been a rough week. And, to cap it off, I dropped my bike while unloading it from my truck and dent/creased the gas tank on the bed rail. There are not enough curse words for how I felt. I bought it new in 1997 and have kept it in great condition with barely a scratch . . . and now this. I plan on drinking beer and hitting F5 in this thread until I pass out or my laptop battery quits. Unrelated: Nom, why are you emailing your roommate? Does she not speak jive or something, and has to copy / paste into Bablefish for y'all to communicate? Maybe that's why she's not emailing back - there's no Nom-to-Honky translate option.
So I am about to undertake a very long roadtrip and have loaded my droid up with about 600 songs, so I'm pretty good in the music department. But audio books and podcasts I need some help with. Any suggestions?
Dude. We have a couple of threads on podcasts that do just that. As to audio-books, Adam Carolla's is a good one that I'd recommend. I also enjoy George Carlin's audiobook.
I'm going to assume multiple people will be listening since you called it a road trip, not a long drive. If you're a Tucker fan, his reading of AFF was fucking hilarious, loved it start to finish. Another big one I would recommend as a conversation starter, I'm currently listening to The Iceman: confessions of a mafia hitman. The writing style is nothing special, but the content fluctuates between crazy and jaw dropping, highly recommended. I constantly find myself not wanting to turn the car off because I'm curious as to what he'll do next.
Jay and Silent Bob Get Old is a fantastic podcast. Even if you dislike Smith's movies, the stories about Jason's drug use, rehab, fucked up life, rehab again, and again, and sobriety will give you at least 30 plus hours of entertainment. And it'll make you feel better about yourself and your own vices.
