I don't know how others use the board, but I always just click on View your posts and view new posts and go through the list to decide which threads I want to read. It would save me about 3 seconds per visit if those links were on the left and you moved View unanswered posts and view active topics to the right.
Is there a reason why everytime I open a thread with images in it from my work comp, I automatically get logged out. But when I do it from home, I stay logged in?
It's not the forum... it's probably something to do with your browser or virus at work, or some firewalling crap in your office. If you are using IE, then tough. (IE is the biggest piece of crap out there). Use Firefox.
I'm trying to attach a file to a PM (don't worry, nothing sketchy) but I can't seem to find a file type it will accept. I've tried .docx, .doc, and .pdf and keep getting a message that this file type is not accepted. It's a Word document, so even though I know .jpg will work, I don't think I can convert it that way. What attachment types will work?
Initially, no documents were allowed as post or PM attachments, only images. I've now set it up so that documents (.doc, .docs, .pdf, etc) are allowed attachments, but only in PM's.
How 'bout we have a minimum post requirement before people can start giving rep points? There's too many tools posting negative rep when they've got less than 20 posts to their credit.
I've recently heard about a plugin for iPhone/Android/Nokia that makes forum reading very easy and supports phpBB3. http://www.tapatalk.com/en/plugin Any chance it would be possible to implement this? It is free, AFAIK, for forum administrators.
Why can't I use bbcode for quotes in posts if I type it in manually? If I want to quote a portion of an article and type Code: [quote][/quote] it says I can't use that certain type of bbcode. I can still quote other posters by clicking on the quote button below posts, I just can't use the bbcode manually. Why?
Is there any way to tell whether a gray rep point was green or red? Sometimes I just have to guess what the tone of the PM should be when I reply.
