https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1616539725333649 I'm so happy this is becoming a ship everyone is jumping on. Giantsbane and Giant Woman for the win. Also, chew-flirting Tormund.
If Jon Snow doesn't defeat the walkers, their ultimate beast children will. I'm kidding (mostly) but those scenes were great.
I have a feeling she might sub in for the wilding woman they cut from the books. She might have a bigger role in Martin's next book and the producers will use Brieane instead. My poor guess at least.
Thoughts: 1. I don't give a shit about the Iron Born. 2. HOW SAD IS THE HODOR STORY?!?! 3. Bran pretty much fucks up anything he touches. 4. All red priestesses are hot. Big one... 5. For the seven kingdoms to be meddling around with thrones when the White Walkers are knocking at the door is insane.
Hold the door was a campy line. The time loop tie in was pretty powerful though. I hate that they just shit on the dire wolves in the show. All in All the season is shaping up quite nicely.
I think thats probably where the show will end up the last season. I'd like to see the Iron Throne issue figured out either second to last or early in the last season and then the final battle with the White Walkers. Agreed, it was campy but overall not a bad send off for Hodor. I'm also enjoying how Sansa is really taking on her father's (or her mother's legacy).
Another theory: okay it's not a theory, but fact. When are people going to universally accept that Jon Snow is Dani's nephew, and Leanna Stark's son? I haven't read the books, yet people still tell me "it's a theory". It's not a theory. I am 100% certain of this. Nothing could be more obvious, and they already used Hollywood-style idiot foreshadowing on the show to prove it twice last season. It would be awesome if Theon and his Sister invade Slaver's bay and either kill Dani or wreck her Mereen forces. Sorry, Dani needs to die. Every single viewer is expecting her Dragons to wipe out the Others in this show's climax, therefore it's predictable and that can't happen.
I read a good piece on this season and how theyve turned the show into satisfying fandom more than the usual GRRM storytelling. Id like to see her return to Westeros and fry some people but saving EVERYONE from the White Walkers seems a little too satisfying. Im glad they left the Tower of Joy thing up in the air.
Im glad they mention Bryndon "The Black Fish". I was wondering if they wrote him out, He was sporadically in season three and the sole survivor of the Red Wedding, he seemed like an badass and awesome character. My friend who has read the series says he is indeed an awesome character and we should look forward to him.
Blackfish is in my top 5 characters. In the book he never attends the Red Wedding, he stays home at Riverrun to hold the fort (which would normally but Edmure's duty, but since it's Edmure's own wedding, he can't well not attend). In the show they had him attend and then magicked away his surviving by having him get up to take a piss and never come back.
Theory: Men LOSE the war against the walkers and Bran uses his time-traveling warg powers to warg back into his younger self before catching the Lannister's fucking, and prevent the whole thing from happening. A mind-fuck, Dark Tower-esque ending. Any takers?
Everything is set in Game of Thrones/ASOIAF timeframe. You can't make paradoxical time changes like that. At least that's the prevailing fan theory.
Shaping up to be a kick ass season. This made me laugh on the Jon resurrection though. So does Daenarys have the entire Dothraki hoard now? I guess it's possible she might even take the iron born offer. She's shown already she's willing to use marriage as a means to an end. Prior to this she had a few thousand unsullied and a rag tag band of ex slaves that are pretty useless in battle. She's got the army now, and the dragons are still fairly young, but plenty big enough to seriously fuck some shit up. Also, Spoiler: from Dance of Dragons Does Euron not have the dragon binding horn? Is that not going to be in the show?
Spoiler I don't think so. With the way their going Im not sure they'll add another character as much as I want to see Ian McShane as Euron. They skipped the horn of winter, not sure why they woulndt do the same with the dragon binding one.
i think that Cersei, Tommen and Margaery are playing the Long Con. on the religious crew. Tommen went to her for help but there was no follow up: because the scheming went on off screen. I'm glad Benjen is back. I thought his fate was simply going to stay an open book, he was an awesome character for the time he was on the show.
