Karma is on its way: - Matt Ryan is, well... - Cutler is my backup and is now injured in a different body part - Packers are on their 3rd string QB, meaning Nelson isn't going to get anything - Arian Foster is out for the season
Gee, that trade rape worked out well for me. At the last minute I played James over Jackson. Had I played Jackson I would have lost by 1 point. All I need out of James is 8.8 points. Either I made a good move or am not only prolonging the agony of defeat, I am also forcing myself to watch a TB vs Miami game.
In the long run from week to week, that trade is going to benefit you more than you know. Hope you get those 9 points from James, but don't be sad if Miami completely dominates TB on defense.
Out for the remainder of the season most likely. Have you seen those sports videos where peoples ankles bend the wrong way?
Let's see, that is 4 people I have taken out this season...including 2 RBs this week! But enough about me ....poor guy. He was just starting to come on.
We'll since I lost two starting running backs this week I suppose I should be looking to a replacement. Any suggestions? Andre Brown, Chris Ivory, Mark Ingram, Brian Leonard?
It looks like Brown is primed for a big workload. I submitted a waver wire claim for him. Not sure if I'll get him or not. I try not to get mired in committee running back situations like what's going on in New Orleans. It becomes impossible to predict who is going to get points in any given game.
Alright, time for the weekly who should I play/lineup check. I don't know who these fucking people are so who knows at this point (yes still bitter about being hit by the injury plague the past few weeks) QB: Rivers or Ryan? Rivers underperformed last week and Ryan has a better matchup, but has underperformed for many weeks RB: Chris Johnson, Fred Jackson, Pierre Thomas, Andre Brown, Chris Ivory WR: Marshall, Gordon (Harvin, Johnson) TE: J Reed D/ST: Texans K: Gotskowski
I have Rivers in my league and the only week I'm going to sit him is next week when they play KC. Other than that, he's your new starting QB. I'd play Andre Brown And Fred Jackson. Johnson is playing against IND which has had some amazing defensive games. They also have Fitzy as their QB now and he likes to hurl the ball down field a lot. Never start a Saints RB. I don't even know who Chris Ivory plays for anymore? Jets maybe? Your WR's look good.
The only people I like on my team are my WRs (except for Harvin who I hear I need to stash but am convinced he's never going to actually play)and kicker. And my tight end is pretty good. If course this means that any or all of them are going to be picked up for soliciting an underage girl while buying crack, breaking their leg while getting their mail, or deciding that this football thing is no longer for them and sitting out the rest of the season.
Or maybe I am crazy for not playing him. Fortunately I didn't take the advice and played Chris Johnson. Based on his history of good game/bad game I figured this was the week to play him. Fingers crossed he keeps it up.
Since I haven't been able to get myself into a near death flex-perience yet, I need help deciding between Alshon Jeffery or Danny Woodhead. Non PPR, or else Woodhead would be the obvious choice. I'm leaning Jeffery just because of the whole west coast team flying east deal.
I'd go woodie as well. He's the go to goal line both run and pass and Jeffery is going to have a backup throwing to him. I'd roll with Brown for the other one. Giants need a running game and he's a beast whose had 10 weeks to rest. He's going to have a few moster weeks before he starts to slow down. Plus the giants play some really shitty teams the rest of their schedule.
