    At least he didn't find out she was 15 when they started dating.

    So I can't drink while I am on antibiotics. The doc has me taking 2 500mg doses 2x daily. For the non math inclined, that is 2 grams a day.

    However we had company, and jägerette and them had wine. I realized I haven't been around her drunk while sober in a long time, because she is a bit annoying.

    I just don't get television producers anymore. My dad runs a storage business here in town, and I remember the last time I was helping him clean a unit all I kept thinking was "Gee, this would make for some great TV!"....then my brilliant idea was stolen a year later in Storage Wars, a show for people who think Springer and pro wrestling is too believable.

    I don't understand why people enjoy watching a show about freaks buried in mountains of cat shit and old newspapers. Losers have become the biggest stars. It's as if television does all of thier casting at Six Flags nowadays.

    I want to split apart these two quotes to highlight the contrast. Mid-west families, millions upon millions of dollars in land holdings, and mid-westerners using language like "fucking elitist coast dwellers" (I am annoyed when rube corn-johnnies use those particular words; I am amused when this comes from an educated professional with massive income potential and a former cocaine habit who would be the definition of a coastal elite if he lived on a coast) to describe others.

    Now, for the contrast.

    When Jesus said that the meek shall inherit the earth, he didn't mean that their massive land holdings would increase in value. The meek were the people without land holdings. He also sure as fuck wasn't talking about people like you, but that's another matter.

    Unrelated, I went for a good four/five hour cross country ski trip today. Stopped in at a pub halfway through to grab a beer and some coffee and turn back. I rather like this cross country skiing deal. Somehow, it's much more acceptable to pull into a bar carrying skis and poles halfway through a trip than it is to, say, stumble into a bar halfway through going for a jog.

    In other news, my girlfriend bought me a bottle of Charbay R5 whiskey. Bear Republic is my favorite brewery, and Racer 5 is one of my favorite beers... and this is whiskey distilled from that beer. Yum. It's disappearing far too easily.
