    He wrote a sequel to Less Than Zero called Imperial Bedrooms and starring the usual cast of characters (Julian, Blair, Rip, Trent, etc). It was ok, but I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I liked Less Than Zero, Rules of Attraction, or American Psycho. Definitely worth a read, but I don't think it's his best work.

    I skipped it entirely. As did a lot of his readers. Same ole tired prose. Same ole absent souls from the characters. I get the impression he'd do really well writing dark comedy instead of melodrama.

    Now if you excuse me I have to go be literary, put on a tweed jacket with corduroy elbow patches, smoke a pipe, and shake my cock at cars driving by.

    Ugh fucking nothing. I have the biggest midterm of life on Monday so I'm staying in all weekend. I just decided to call it a night on studying. I'd love a beer but all I have to drink is Johnny Walker Blue Label. I don't know if it's worth dipping into it tonight. Opinions?

    I did put in a solid 9 hours of studying today. But I don't know if that is the kind of accomplishment that warrants special booze, or it's really for real accomplishments like acing the test......or failing the test, for that matter.

    Micro Theory 2. While this is certainly a difficult subject, it's made a lot worse by the fact that my professor is a lunatic. Last year the class average on this midterm was a 29. Today I asked the TA (who took the class last year) if he had any sagely advice to give. He said the following, "Just try to get points, man. Chances are, when you walk out of the room, you will feel like you failed, but don't worry everyone else feels the same way. If you see one question on there that you can answer, answer the shit out of it. One question done perfectly will take you a long way and so it makes sense to master just one of the 4 major topics covered. The rest of the questions, make ridiculous assumptions to get answers as quickly as possible because even if you know exactly what to do, you won't have time to do it. Basically, don't bother trying to get everything right...just get points, man."

    I wasn't that scared before...I always figured the things people said about the professor were overblown. Now....now I'm scared. As such, I'll be putting in another 9-10 hours of studying tomorrow, and as many as I possibly can on Sunday.

    Someone remind me why I'm spending what are supposed to be the best years of my life doing this shit?
