I guess I just don't expect too much or put too much value into this place. Family Guy, South Park, whatever. It's enough to keep me entertained during study breaks.

I never understand why people stay and complain about things like this. There are a million other message boards out there. There's bound to be a few that meet your expectations.

It's called the Weekend Drunk Thread, what exactly are you expecting? How would South Park behave during a weekend drunk thread? I am genuinely curious.

I feel exactly the same way. There is, however, a reason I pick this board above the rest. You lot. You're smart, funny and ascerbic. I love that, I really do. Don't get me wrong-I enjoy coming here, and I do understand that this isn't the 'old place' (which, to be honest, I found a little oppressive), but I feel that recently, it's lost its 'bite'.

If that episode ever made it to air, television as we know it would not have just jumped the shark, but napalmed it while it did so.

So, in essence, it is the existence of the WDT that you are opposed to? And yet, here you are, posting in it.

No! Have you just picked out the pieces of what I've written that suit your mood?

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I just feel it's become a little self congratulatory, and a little cartoonish. Come on-can you honestly admit, without jumping at my throat, that certain people have stopped being-well-people, to you, and become caricatures? Fair play if that isn't the case for you, but it doesn't make either of us wrong. And for the record-I have no problem with you, or anyone else here. Maybe certain folk have settled into a comfortable internet persona-maybe the way they come across is who they really are. Who knows. I was just venturing an opinion. The one thing I do hold dear about this place is that I am free to.

Probably, I seem to be in the mood for internet arguments. Which is very odd for me because I usually go out of my way to avoid them.

In other news, I also probably need a nap but am fighting it just as much as BigPerson's children.

Speaking of naps, why is it when I take a name durning the day I purposely open the blinds on the window right above my bed so I get lots of light when I doze off, but at night I can't sleep unless I'm in near total darkness?

I woke up at 4 pm. Fuck a nap, my whole morning was a nap. An alcoholic, comatose nap.

The only person I really can't imagine being this grating in real life is Ballsack. It might be just me, but I feel like this board cuts through the e-persona garbage. I don't know why this is; I doubt it's a conscious decision that's made by everyone. "Wow guys, this is TiB. I'd better be myself." I just think that simply through other people's honesty, people are more willing to open up. I think this stands in start contrast to the TMMB, where you were universally mocked if you weren't a 6'4 former football player who had a pussy count in the double digits.

To turn the thread in an entirely new direction. I have some left over shredded pork loin that I cooked in the crockpot yesterday with kind of a citrusy flavor. I was thinking about making some sort of stew/soup out of it but am lacking inspiration. Any ideas or recipes?
