    It's true. A relatively new friend of mine posted a pic of an admittedly gorgeous girl in a fashion shoot, but the eyes bothered me. I zoomed in and the girl was smacked off her dial, her pupils were pinned harder than a post-concert Lou Reed in the 70's. I posted a close-up of said eyes to my friend's wall with a caption like 'stunning body, but check the eyes: she appears to be trying to snort away the Daddy issues."

    Friend: "thanks, that's my older sister". Oooops.

    Russia is great as long as you are into that dressed up, heavy make-up, glamour look. People go grocery shopping in stilettos. Just kidding, they wait in line for bread in stilettos.

    With models, I don't even know that I agree with the stunning body thing. I mean, I can appreciate the curvier type like lingerie or Sports Illustrated, but most I just want to give them something to eat. I got this email from Bloomingdales trying to suggest that I buy buy the perfect "little black pants". Their model (it was a model "walking" so you could see her in action) had thighs that were probably as big as the average bicep and I questioned their marketing strategy. All I could think was that my calf wouldn't fit in there, and I don't really think it is attractive anyway

    FYI here it is her thighs don't touch!

    And her eyes may be a little dead too.


    Edit - see now I can totally get behind Roxanne's girl. Isn't that what women are supposed to look like?

    Sounds like my doctor is about to diagnose me with adult-onset ADD or possibly ADHD.

    Damn I feel like I fall into the stereotype of over-diagnosis, even if it's legit in my case, it still has the stereotype that goes with it.

    And the shitty thing is I've been on lexapro for over a year for PTSD, and lexapro apparently doubles as a med for ADD, and I'm still testing positive.

    This is gonna be interesting

    But then again, I'm in law school, and I HATE the fact that there are plenty of people illegitimately taking ADD meds to help them study for exams. It's unfair to the rest of us; it's fucking steroids in the 21st century. It's unfair as shit, and yet no one in academia recognizes it. They just assume that some people are better. No, they're not fucking better, they're drugged up as shit without a diagnosis and they're artificially raising the standard.

    I absolutely hate that I'm getting diagnosed this late. I wish I was in law school 20 years earlier. Because now, if I do get diagnosed, I'm just keeping up with the Joneses, who don't have something legitimate.

    Goddamn this academic world is so un-fucking-fair. And it's not gonna change. So that's why I'm drinking a gin (read: real) martini.

    Hulu had, one after the other, an ad for Mormons...and a ridiculous over-the-top sexy-sexy-sex ad for perfume. I think someone at Hulu is trolling the Mormons.
