Re: Great Moments in RMMB History I don't remember whose buddy it was, I want to say BrianH and JoeyHustle's, but way back when they had some friend who had a bunch of drunk messages saved that were fucking awesome. If anybody still has those up, I need a link.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History I wasn't here at the time, but I'm dying to know the RV story from Tuckerfest from a perspective of somebody that was there. It'd also be great if somebody still has the video of the KFM Cloud Starchaser fight. Focus: Ballsacks's complete lack of awareness when he thought telling a story about raping his friend would be cool. Negative's Prison Primer Gris' movies
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History Yeah. I don't remember the details, but didn't a board member actually go to his home and see him there at the same time he was "stationed" in the sandbox?
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History Just do a google search for "Bobby Rose Drunk Dial", it is still up there. Coincidentally, if you watched the show Rehab last night you would have spotted Bobby pretending to be a high roller. Ah, "reality" television.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History Here's the video, for those feeling nostalgic. The comics were awesome: "She's hotter in real life."
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History Does anyone know off the top of their heads when the Reaper call out was? Month/year? That was one of the ones I missed out on and really wanted to witness.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History I'd also like to see the Soylent call out thread, as I must have somehow missed it. If someoen could give me the month/year of it.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History There wasn't one-he got asked to leave quietly. I'd like to see the L Tribbey thread if anyone can find it.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History Small favor as well: Could someone sticky this so it doesn't fall into obscurity? This stuff was fun to read and reminisce about.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History We'll probably create a Hall Of Fame once the board's been alive long enough to have one.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History You know what I miss? Your ridiculously funny rep comments. The TravDiddy (or whatever) thread about wanting an MMF threesome and the fornicat threads were some seriously funny, if not disturbing times. I stopped posting on RMMB about a year ago. It already feels like a lot of the "cats-and-soccer-are-for-pussies-who-wants-to-fuck-a-midget" groupthink that made the old board annoying has dissipated. All of the people that I would have wanted to see move over to this new board have, and I think that'll be enough to get me posting here. I've got hopes for this place.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History Holy shit, welcome back WickedPissah. Haven't seen you in ages - hope all is well down on Ave A.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History Someone please tell me whose idea it was to erase one letter of DixieBandit's name each day until it was gone, and then replace it with DickBandit in the same fashion. I did so enjoy watching those mind games.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History I thought it was kinda stupid and annoying; it doesn't allow for a level playing field if a mod can just fuck with a member without repurcussions. Look, just because some people are mods doesn't mean you have to arbitrarily respect them; mods are there because the powers-that-be think they will be fair and effective in their duties. Mods aren't super-humans who are infallible. That being said, if a mod is hostile, rude and unfair (SLF for instance, Tucker with his BeerInHell board), why shouldn't he get called out on it? Whoever was fucking with Dixiebandit was not allowing the natural order to deal with it (i.e. rep points and general respect amongst other posters). It's the only way, otherwise it creates resentment toward the mods, just like we witnessed in this thread as soon as RMMB fell down. A mod should earn respect as a mod by doing his/her job and being effective and fair. The douchebag mods weren't effective OR fair.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History I was trying to be modest... Also they don't know that it was a giant conspiracy that we set up these boards JUST SO WE COULD MODERATE THEM and let it get to our heads. It's so evil I'm wearing a tophat, monocle and pocketwatch.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History This is the problem with trying to discuss the mod stuff - you guys don't know 10% of what actually went on, all you saw was what you saw on the board. There will always be resentment amongst those with an incomplete picture of why things happened, and it doesn't mean they're owed an explanation either. The mods around here will have the same sort of stuff to deal with. It's not as easy to deal with as you might think.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History "Would you care for a scotch, Kyle?" "This is apple juice, Cartman."
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History No, don't worry about it. When they get sued for allowing posters to post pictures of women that were taken without prior consent, the natural order will pay their legal fees.
