Re: Great Moments in RMMB History You're being hyperbolic. If someone breaks a rule they will be dealt with, it's pretty simple. What I was refering to was powertrips and moderator abuse. edit: I could've easily deleted your post because it's completely wrong and inflammatory; I didn't though because this is a discussion that merits publicity. edit2: Poop. That is all.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History My favorite RMMB moment was when Max got sued twice by the same guy for content posted on his messageboard by people he never met. What was his name? DoughMayo, DieMoyo? The word escapes me...
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History Yep. Many are. Read what Shock posted again as I did. Realize this is just another dumb messageboard designed for T&A, funny posts, calling out posers and saying things we generally don't get to voice with our "real" friends, some will lie and some won't. I think everyones getting all worked up into a frenzy for whatever reason. If we all just take this place at face value, use it and contribute to it on the basis in which it was created, it can be what it's meant to be.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History Another vote for JoJo's Playground being a major highlight. I definitely got mixed up in those fightclub-esque hijinxes. Remember the Halloween game and the Valentine's Day challenge. There were also some threads that discussed relationships rather intelligently if I remember correctly. It was a fun way of making the Board more interactive in real/unreal situations.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History I had been a member of the old board since 2004 (and a lurker since before that) and never understood that picture. Can someone explain it, or are things best left unsaid? It looked like some dude plowing a fat chick with missing teeth in a car, but there had to be some weird back story behind it.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History Try around September/October 2004. Can't remember the exact timing of it, but it was very shortly after the re-launch in late summer 2004. Dear God, reading this thread has brought back a wave of memories, good, bad and ugly.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History They were in the back of a van somewhere in Jersey during the Tuckerfest debacle of March 2003. No one was plowing anybody, thank Christ. Just two exceptionally unattractive people caught in an equally unattractive pose. If anyone still has that picture, feel free to never post it again.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History Just so no one makes a mistake... ...this is the picture no one should ever, ever post again.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History Whether you agree or not with #2, it IS very very good writing. Should have never been deleted. Let freedom ring.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History DaxFlame rulez! And again. Most likely an act, but still, good times.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History [egocentric post]One of my favorites was when an entire thread became devoted to the comic I spent 5 hours drawing in MS paint instead of doing physics homework. Good times. [/egocentric post]
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History The most memorable thread was the "Debunking lies, radical transparency" thread. I bought IHTSBIH in late 2007 and found the website and messageboard. I was mostly a lurker (posted twice in two years) and I had no idea that Tucker was such a polarizing figure. This place is cool though, I think I like it.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History Ugh. It's like Bert fucking Snuffalufagus. It's disturbing how many of you must have that saved on your hard drives.
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History Having joined the board after that, I don't get the "joethefat" name. He's not in great shape, but he's hardly fat. The double-chin in the picture looks like it would go away if he wasn't making that particular expression. The girl, on the other hand, should not be touched by any self-respecting, not-blacked-out man, under any circumstances, ever. Who the fuck let the ginger hippo out of its cage?
Re: Great Moments in RMMB History It's for when I feel like puking on my dick right after I finish being a sinner. Sometimes, even a sock filled with semi-soft butter just won't get it done. Hard to believe, I know.
