I have a .40 PPQ and it’s fun to shoot. I’m not a gun aficionado, this is my only one. I tried a few of my friends’ Glocks to decide between .40 and 9mm, and I felt more comfortable with a .40 I have the older model that has the clip release switch (not a button) on both sides of the trigger (I liked this because I’m lefty). Also, the grip is super comfy and I think it comes with three sizes you can switch out.
You're right. I just didn't look hard enough (I came across a few discontinued and figured "So much for that idea.") Just did a quick search and found them. Thanks for inspiring me. EDIT: I ordered a couple of them.
It's a classic. People tac them out but I just when with a dedicate .22lr ar upper for my tacticool .22lr.
Now go get the one chambered in .44 mag so you can take a woman shooting and pull the ol' switch-a-roo. Used to be one of my favorite tricks when I had both. *You shooting* crack, crack, crack *Pull the switch-a-roo hand the girl the .44* massive boom and recoil!
When I was in Mississippi I taught my little cousin to shoot. She was 15 and maybe 105 lbs. I started her off with a 9mm and then turned her loose with a 12 gauge with hot loads that rocked my 220 lbs back. I had to put my hands on her shoulders to keep it from blowing her flat on her ass. She thought it was the greatest thing ever.
Oh dear. They make a binary trigger for the 10/22. I've never thought binary triggers were exactly a safe idea, but damn does that look fun. Reading up on all the mods available for the 10/22 is interesting to say the least. I've never been a fan of the tacticool crap....one stock kit included a "Bayonet." A plastic bayonet. Why the hell would anyone think that's a good idea? So far the only "Mods" I've seen that I'm going to do is the extended magazines (On the way) and a picatinny rail to mount a red dot sight(Bushnell Trophy TRS-25). I do have a question...what would the benefits be to using a subsonic round? I know the report won't be quite as loud, but is there any other benefit? I can pick up 300 rounds of Eley subsonic (38 grain) for $55 or 300 rounds of regular Eley (40 grain) for $50.
subsonics are largely to pair with suppressors aka “silencers” aka “really expensive flash hiders.” If you pair a suppressor with a subsonic on a .22 you’re basically looking at a firearm that sounds like a pellet gun. You could, in theory, shoot one in your neighborhood at that point and the person next door wouldn’t be the wiser. Or so I’ve heard. However, not only are suppressors very expensive, they’re also dirty as a $5 blumpkin. I’ll get one eventually for my 5.56 pistol, but only so it doesn’t sound like a cannon and for the sake of my hearing.
Fucking hell. I was going to order a Walther P22Q in a couple of days, using my work funded account rather then using my savings account. Yeah, that was a bad idea. They sold out. So I decided I better grab what I can, and ended up buying a blue one with a nickel slide, because that's all that was available. Now I own a blue gun. I'm not thrilled with this development, but at least I have one.
All good dude... I own a green gun... a .38 super STI Trubor... Complete with red-dot holo sight... Still does the job, regardless of the colour.
Yeah, right now things are nuts with guns and ammo. If you hesitate an hour, you're likely to lose out on available stock. I've already learned that numerous times, I pulled the trigger (Heh!) this time on what was left available before I ended up with nothing. Again.
which is why I suspect there’s gonna be a hilariously cheap market for “used” guns in about a year or two. And by used I mean still with the original box, never fired, never even loaded. I think the market will be flooded with them. that, or it could go the extreme opposite way, where everyone realizes how fun it is to go shooting and the industry booms with new shooters demanding new ranges everywhere and even fewer regulations because those supporting the regs are now burdened by them
I guess Remington should have made more silly guns. Maybe they wouldn't have had to file for bankruptcy.
Its not just firearms and ammo, but anything related. I have a couple handguns that I never bought holsters for when I got them initially. I had a hard time finding any that weren't shitty and I wouldn't trust at a range let alone day to day wear. I still haven't found one I'd trust for my USP.
Ordered Thursday night, arrived today. That's some service! www.gunmagwarehouse.com if anyone's interested.
Ordered a Ruger American in 30.06 this morning, it went on sale for $395 and I couldn't turn that down. I also ordered a Feyachi scope for the .06 and the red dot sight for my 10/22. The scope is just a cheapy, but it seems to have really good reviews on Amazon and YouTube. We'll see. That leaves just a .12 gauge that I need to buy, I'm really wanting a Mossberg 590M but those are as rare as dinosaur eggs right now.
remington 870 magnum. That's what I run, and it'll feed anything you put in it, including your dick probably. The days of "rustington" are behind us. You can toss that thing off a cliff, run over it with a truck, use the stock to bludgeon someone and it'll still shoot, or at least try to. Are you stocking up to leave town or something? Or do you really think things are gonna get that bad?
I "Normally" have 5 guns around the house, I just haven't the past few years living in the city and all. All 5 serve a very distinct purpose, be it protection, hunting, dealing with snakes, feral dogs, whatever... Somehow, as soon as I bought my Glock I felt the need to have my 5 specific guns again. Or maybe it was just being up in Idaho and I was suddenly around them again. I really don't know. Possibly because there a chance of things doing to hell? Maybe. That is kind of in the back of my mind and if things do go bad, I sure as hell want guns and lots of ammo.
that's about how I run it too. 9 mm: concealed carry 9 mm full size: home defense iron sights 10/22: pest control scoped 5.56 AR-15: plinking, pest control for larger vermin, smaller hogs high power scoped .308 AR-10: large hogs, longer range vermin control like coyotes, hunting 12 gauge: skeet shooting, hunting .357 revolver: snake gun (use .38 spl shotshells) Then of course you branch off from there. .I'd tell you all about them but there was a boating accident and....
