I've been working the micro-brews tonight, Bells and Three Floyds. I have temporarily switched to cheap wine, though I will switch back to beer.

It's been an interesting year and an interesting week. '13 wasn't too bad, I hope '14 is as good. I have no resolutions to make but I will buy a house in the early part of 14 and i'd like to drink a bit less. I think finding a house I like might help with the second, just a bit frustrating.

At any rate, Happy New Years TiB! Who's hanging out for a while?

I'm here for a bit. It is 7:20 and I have work in the morning so I'm chillaxing until bedtime.

anybody making resolutions? I haven't really thought about it until now. I think they are silly but it is still good to think about new goals to work towards.

Happy new year all. Figured I would pop in now while I'm still mostly sober so that I don't make too much of a fool of myself.

I've already started everything I want to do so I'm more of a continuation kind of guy. New Years resolutions never work out for me long term anyway. I quit smoking in March, I started working out more in September.

I'm not sure where else I'd go with resolutions. Maybe better networking with the young professionals network here locally? That could be a good one.

That would be a good one for me, too. I need to find ways to develop professionally and find a good job. I know it is a cop out but I work so fucking much with such an unpredictable schedule that I feel like I have no time to do things like that. So, it is definitely something to work on.

Find the young professionals network near you. They have meet ups, a chance to drink or meet others. If there isn't one you could start it, which would make you a stud in that community and pretty much open any door you'd like.

I've skipped them here because I don't wear slacks and a tie, although I can tie a tie and have dressed up I 'm just not comfortable doing so.

A fine choice. Many good drinks in the Collins family, Ron being my favourite. It's a great substitute for a mojito.

This is timely. I've finished my bottle of wine, Yellow Tail (it's not a bad wine, especially at $4.99 a bottle) and I am debating what I should go to next.

I'm not sure what I have down in the bar but suggestions are allowable.

Shit in a bag, ring the doorbell. That has been a winner for years. I'm a suggestion guy so I'll try to find ways to hit them up that aren't necessarily illegal.

Jim Beam and Ginger Ale tonight, just because I have more Jim Beam than Maker's. I'll switch it up later with some Eagle Rare on the rocks. Happy New Year, fuckers!

Sitting at a house party. One of the guys here was in Africa for a few years. Just told a story about performing a circumcision on a 30 year old man using forceps and scissors. I might throw up.

Ringing in the new year drunk on wine by myself cause wife and kid are in bed. Wife is working tomorrow, so it's all me tonight. I plan to be blitzed and playing Assassins Creed: Black Flag until 3 am. I consider this one of my better New Years Eves. I hate this "holiday."
