I'm not taking any vacation this Christmas. I decided to work every day so my staff could take vacations when they wanted to because I'd be there to cover for them if necessary. See what a good supervisor I am? I deserve a cookie.

No no no. I had a job last year. Just at a bigger agency with a French parent company that wanted you to take time off so the time you were in the office was most effective. I still had vacation time die. The gave 3 days for Christmas, and then the rest of the time off until Jan 2nd. It was glorious.

I like Christmas. I like what it stands for, whether it be religious or otherwise. It's just a nice holiday.

But what is driving me out of my mind is Christmas Music. Now don't get me wrong, most of the songs are classics, but I have been listening (or forced to listen) to approximately the same 15 songs for 41 years, for a month every year.

Can someone please, somewhere, write some new Christmas music. Not 'gimmicky' or 'jokey' or 'heavy metal version of the same 15 songs.' Just new ones that are nice, that's all I ask for Christmas. Please, and thank you.

I'm not quite sure what's keeping me watching this...but it's oddly entertaining.

Think the Percocets have kicked in, woohoo!

Okay, this weird. USPS just delivered a package for my wife from Aydin, Turkey. It's a padded envelope that is hand-addressed and it looks like the names on the return address are Zariye Sezen and Mesrutiyet Mah. It's pretty light and contents feel soft, like clothing. I called her and she has no idea what it is. Anyone wanna guess the contents?

No, you're both wrong. While I was hoping for hash, it's a hat, ordered on Amazon, imagine that.

I just drove three hours through the frozen Ninth Circle Of Hell. Every single outdoor surface is black ice. Fuck this shit.

Who else doesn't have off Christmas Eve and NYE? Fuck being on wednesdays this year. One day off for each holiday smack dab in the middle of the week. Sucks.

I'm on call Christmas week so no drinking for me the entire week. Second year in a row too.

I don't have to work on NYE though.

Speaking of Dixie, anyone know how he's doing? Doesn't someone here still communicate with him?

Also, would anyone else be interested in sending him a care package? Might be a nice thing for the holidays.

Next week I have Wednesday off, the following week I'm off Tuesday and Wednesday. Holidays that fall midweek suck.
