I know exactly two people for whom I would buy a rubber fist, and never as a birthday gift. Fists are for Christmas, duh.
I thought I should come in and be a party-pooper since there's a lot of Chuck Testa love in this thread. For me, the beauty of a horrible local commercial is that some business owner put a lot of thought into it, they produced it with great care, and it's no joke. The Chuck Testa commercial, while funny, was made on this show: http://www.ifc.com/rhett-link/. When two hipsters have hipster-y fun making goofy commercials, the commercials lose some of the intrinsic value I find in a commercial produced without any sense of irony. Took a couple days off work to visit my mother in Florida this weekend. I've been here for about 26 hours and I'm already medicating a nice splotchy sunburn with lots of beer. Also, I must admit, as redneck-y as this state can be, I kind of like it. Jesus - there is so much potential awkward in having to explain a rubber fist to a grandparent.
Here is my favorite from the Pet Thread. This guy would have me wrapped around his paw. I would make him waffles for breakfast every morning.
Unfortunately he looks weird as an adult. The best doggie in the family died recently from kidney failure. The other dog is an absolute bastard, though cute as a puppy. That's all I got. I think Mya wins. I love sheltie/collies.
Does personality count? No? How about not killing you in your sleep. Think. Rate high. (If Bill the Cat had a canine counterpart)
I love Corgis and Shelties, based 100% on appearance. I've never really "met" either of these breeds so I don't know much about their personalities.
The only issue with Shelties is that they are the divas of the animal world. They KNOW they are beautiful, TYVM. And Mya, "he" is a "she" named Xia. I have had the pleasure of meeting her personally, and she is as sweet as she looks.
Personality, they are each kind of different. Both were "rescues". One was found as a stray wandering the mean streets of KC and I got him from the pound. He is hyper and squirmy and bull headed as can be, but not a mean bone in his body. The other was turned into a sheltie rescue because he was "vicious" when his owner got abusive. Oddly enough, he is a total softie and submissive as can be (that is the one that I said was my cuddler). Both are smart as a whip.
maybe there's something in the TiB water. I haven't had one in 4 months...I'm on the pill and have taken multiple preg tests. Kinda freaky. Hope I'm not one of those crazy bitches on "I didn't know I was preg" next season!
The only diva like behavior mine really have is that they hate to be wet. They will do anything to avoid walking through a puddle, it is funny. And I love Xia, I am a sucker for "that look". On the rare occasion that one of my dogs has an accident inside, all I have to do is call their name and they slowly creep up to me with that look. Then I laugh and punishment time is over. As long as they know for that fleeting moment that I am disappointed.
Maybe TX and I are trying to sync cycles but each of us is polite enough to wait for the other to go first.
