Interesting logic. But they would have to flashback to when they first met and have Theodore say something like: "I didn't know it then, but that's when I met your mother." But that sounds exactly like something the writers of this show would throw at us. Good call.
Didn't the show already hint at the fact that "the Mother" is Rachel Bilson's roommate? I think Zoe maybe the last girl before the Mother...or I hope.
Agreed. The facts we know about the Mother is that she owned the yellow umbrella, she was in the class Ted accidently started teaching, and that she was roomates with Rachel Bilson. Unless they somehow reveal Zoe went to college and lived with someone else all while being married, my money is on it being someone else.
Well, by that logic, Zoe cannot be the mother. When we first met her, she didn't recognize Ted as an architect. One would have to assume that if she were in that first class (which was an economics class that Ted mistook for his architecture class), she would recognize him as the bumbling jackass that spent twenty minutes lecturing on architecture in the wrong classroom and recognize him AS an architect, and not as a Vet (which he claimed to be).
Barney running behind the woman making the Predator noise was the funniest thing I've seen on television this month.
I re-watched the first season, and I'm pretty sure they mention the mother's name in the Thanksgiving episode: Spoiler In the strip club, a stripper introduces herself as Tracy. After that, the narrator jokes "and that is how I met your mother."
I wouldn't view that as the Mother's name being Tracy as much as Future Ted joking their Mother was a stripper.
I agree. I think they're more obvious with the hints. i.e. The umbrella, stating that the mother was in the class.
I have seen that episode a couple times. After he says that is how I met your Mother and the kids flip out saying "What", he says just kidding.
Right, I get that strippers don't use their real names, but for the joke to work on the kids, the Mom's name would have to be Tracy. I agree, it was probably just a throwaway joke in an early episode, but if they actually name the Mother Tracy, I think that's cool.
Not a bad thought. Hopefully Nora doesn't disappear for a few episodes. They have a tendency to drop plotlines for a few episodes. I'm really like these last few episodes, though. Show seems to have regained it's mojo.
