How I Met Your Mother Season 6

Prediction: Marshall and Lily conceive their child in the dumpster.

Count on it.

 

I like the idea of it being Barney's wedding, but they have a really long way to go to change Barney as a character enough to have him not freak out at the idea of getting married. Sure, he dated Robin for a while, but they never even got close to breaching the marriage subject. The only way it would work with his character is if he almost completely changes his views on marriage after meeting his father. I do have one suspicion of how they make it work:

Barney knocks up Nora. Around the same time, he meets his father, and realizes what he missed out on by not having his dad in his life. This makes him realize that A) He does really love Nora, and B) he wants to be there for his kid. Otherwise, I don't think they'd have nearly enough time this season to justify it being Barney's wedding and not have it be completely out of character for him.

Of course, all of this is based on the assumption that the wedding will be at the end of this season.

I think its more likely that it is Ted's buddy Punchy's wedding. I know they're being intentionally ambiguous with it, but I like that they said up front that Zoey wasn't the mother. Either way, the show has definitely returned to form, with some really, really good episodes this season (I still think the "Blitzgiving" episode might've been one of the best episodes this season, to go right along with the Bad News episode).

I agree, my thoughts are it has to be Barney because Ted said "I was a best man..." not " I was the best man...". Happened kind of quickly but I had to go back and re-watch that part to be sure. I mean its believable that both him and Marshall are co-bestman since Barney has been touting that type of friendship the entire series so far

cemented that Barney is in love with Nora; But we already knew that, and they will get back together next episode. I really don't think they can afford to do any more fillers if this is the last season, which it should be in my mind, there's only so many tangents this show can take. There's only what, Five episodes left? and the last one is the wedding.

 

REI, where did you get that info? I don't see how they could go on another season though.

Edit: Scratch that, I did some research of my own. Two more season!? No way that's gonna work.

Barney gets married the show is dead.I think the creators know aswell as everybody else that Barney is the highlight of the show and his funny stems exactly from him NOT being married. So I'm guessing the wedding will be Ted's old high school buddy's. I honestly don't think we'll see Nora again, at least not for more than one or two scenes.

 

So the next episode is called "Legendaddy." I'm assuming either Marshall gets Lily pregs or Barney knocks up Nora and BAM shotgun wedding. Maybe.

 

Or Barney meets his father.

 

The hell!!?? Was there a new episode yesterday? If there was, I'm gonna throw my dvr out in the thunderstorm tonight. It's set to record all new episodes!!

Is there any rhythm or reason for the erratic way they show new episodes? I feel like they show us a couple and then randomly stop.

 

None of the other regular Monday programs were on last night either.

 

Long story short, networks are retarded and rely on obsolete business models.

 

Yet another two week hiatus....why do the writers taunt me so!!??
