I don't think they'll go as far as Kuhjager is thinking. Maybe the mother just becomes the narrator for the events after they meet.
The wife after watching this weeks episode Wife: Why are we watching this shit? Me: Cause we have watch everything else before this, we cant leave now, we have to see it to the end.
Really? I love the episodes where they redo the same sequence multiple times from different viewpoints.
I agree, that last few episodes have been pretty great. And the unreliable narrator is one of my favorite tricks that HIMYM pulls off the best.
I guess a lot of people are now debating online if Ted's big speech to his future wife at the end is an indication that she is dead when he is telling the story. I can see how it supports the theory that has been floated before. It certainly did seem like the speech of a guy who lost the woman he was in love with and wanted just any more time with her.
Yeah, that was the impression I got from it. Or, it might just be an attempt at a tear-jerking reminder of Ted's issues, before we start getting closer to actually meeting the mother.
This week was time-killing filler bullshit, but I'm already so far in, I have to watch it til the end.
Agreed on both statements. I realize that they're trying to tie up loose ends so that we know what path each of the characters ends up going down, but this episode lead to nowhere. I also wish they would, you know, show more than one fucking episode a month.
Emo Ted is always my least favorite Ted. He just acts like a poor abused puppy, but without all the redeeming qualities of a puppy. Spoiler I have this sneaky suspicion the whole final season is going to be the days leading up to the wedding. Ala "24". Also, JUDGE FUDGE IN DA HOUSE!
