Re: Introduction This line is best left unadulterated. I posted under the name Crazy Wolf, with a Fallout-style avatar reading books and a nerdy line about the English language as my signature.
Re: Introduction I posted under the same name occasionally for roughly two years. Nothing particularly interesting mind you. Chater, thankyou for starting this up. I'll admit I too sat in front of my computer wondering what to do for the next hour knowing the RMMB was gone. It's good to see various boards were resurrected.
Re: Introduction I think I posted a total of twice on the old board, but I lurked for years. Probably lurk here mostly, but I love the Lost threads and some of the random funny shit on the advice and idiot boards. Thanks for picking this up Chater, I thought I'd actually have to work at work.
Re: Introduction Hey everybody, posted as TheDeac on the old board. Glad someone took initiative to keep this wonderful(and yet awful) idea alive.
Re: Introduction Hey, glad to see that some familiar people are here. I posted on the old board since 2005, under the same name, but not so much lately. I was seriously worried about having a location to find out about almost all of the random interesting shit on the internet.
Re: Introduction I'm glad to see someone take the torch and carry on some of the most entertaining aspects of the RMMB. I mostly lurked there, but I learned a lot and read a lot of entertaining and informative discussions between people much smarter and successful than me. It was such a relief to find a place that wasn't like everything else on the net. Places like 4chan or driven by people that live on that kind of drama/humor. Places full of people that are too PC, naive or oblivious. This (RMMB and now here) place always felt like something more honest and relatable. A place that wasn't about eCock sizes but more about people that held themself to a higher standard... or at least could tell a good story if nothing else. Thanks for creating a place for that to (hopefully) continue.
Re: Introduction Hi, this is Sanku from the old board. You folks have the opportunity now to keep the funny going. Good luck and have fun.
Re: Introduction Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Nice little place you've got setup here. My name is Gris, and I'm from the internet. I was away from the RMMB and on the Beer in Hell for the past 3 months. If you care to follow along with that experience (and if the mods will excuse the self-promotion) head over to www.griffinwrites.com. Otherwise, I look forward to seeing how this circus plays out, and the many angry, ranting, lunatic PMs from Ballsack 3.0. God Bless
Re: Introduction Requisite: My precious rep, noooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Blah blah, glad to see this place up and running so fast, blah blah good luck, blah who fucking cares. I hang out at the Writing/Artist Board spin-off under my real (first) name, same avatar. Because fuck you assholes, that's why. (And because I know Blue Dog's real first name there, and it is hilarious. Blue Dog, you coonass.) I originally joined the RMMB in early-ish 2007 and lurked for a month or two before that. Hopefully I'll pop in here from time to time to get doses of funny threads. So far, this place hasn't disappointed. I await the day a small new faction splits off, forms a new board and levels the same complaints against Chater and the new mods as you all are firing at the old board and its mods. Excelsior!
Re: Introduction Bryan from the old boards. I've been busy with pledging a fraternity as a junior and working an internship in addition to classes so I haven't been checking the RMMB boards much. I was definitely surprised to see the death knell from Tucker when I navigated to the boards yesterday. I've been a member since early high school, probably like 2004, although the bulk of my posting was done in the past two years. Reading the RMMB over the course of my high school and early college years has played a disproportionately large role in my education process, so I'm hoping for the best here with the new boards.
Re: Introduction Yes, a day or three of warning would have been nice, but I think that if we've learned one thing about Tucker Max, both from how he lives his life and the advice he's given others on his board, it's that he does what he wants, when he wants, fuck the rest of the world. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining; it's a good point, not a bad point. But I think it would be hypocritical of me to admire him for railing against the attitude of, "Oh I've got so much shit tying me down, preventing me from doing what I really want to do...", and then turn around and be mad at him for taking the RMMB from 200 MPH to 0 in about ten feet. This is not a guy who's given to saying, "Okay, in a week I'm going to shut this place down." When the inclination hits, he's done. He's not going to put up with the shit for another week, day or hour. I don't know the man personally, but again from what he's posted on that board over the years, the sudden end makes perfect sense. I don't like it either, but life sucks, get a helmet.
Re: Introduction Hi all - I'm just glad to see so many familiar names made the trip on the interwebs highway over to this site. Thanks for picking the ball up and running with it, Chater! Americangirl (still Tom Petty's biggest fan!)
Re: Introduction Posted over on RMMB under the same name. Had been around a few years, never posted too often though. I'm glad you all are back to help keep me entertained.
Re: Introduction I'm just here to make Seinfeld references and quotes lines from Young Guns. I'm glad I can be of assistance.
Re: Introduction Glad to see this got up so quick. Been around since 2005, many good times seen on the RMMB. Didn't post much, but learned a lot. Big thanks to everyone who added value to the old board and taught some of us young punks a few things.
Re: Introduction I just wanted to post a quick thank you to Chater for opening this so quick. Pretty much just a lurker on the old site but loved reading it everyday. I'm already starting to enjoy this place.
Re: Introduction When I went to RMMB, I was pretty sad, and shocked to see it down so suddenly. It turned to some anger as well. But then I saw this site, and it reminded me of a quote from Fight Club, "I say never be complete. I say stop being perfect. I say lets evolve." So lets be happy about this evolution. Fuck the belief that RMMB was perfect. This site can either be better than our passed RMMB, or it can just be different, ready to fill a new hole. On RMMB I was of the same screen name, Spekkio. Wasn't a frequent poster, with only 100 posts, lurked a lot. I'll try contribute more, to help create a place for some quality trading of wisdom, along side the little things to enjoy in life. Pooping and titties.
