Idiot Board Introduction - Start Here

Hey, JGold here. Same screen name as on the RMMB. I spent a lot of time on the sports board and occasionally posted in the general threads. One time I had 500+ rep points. This is the way I validate my existence.

 

Hi, long time lurker first time poster as well.

For the past year or so i would occasionally check in on the RMMB's idiot board and read what was said but was too much of a pussy to post my thoughts on it.

Will try to contribute a bit here though; thanks to whoever set this one up.

I was a member for over 4 years (signed up in September 2005). I just regret missing the Rant and Rave thread posts from the last week (thanks to a ban from Kinsey).

I do, however, like the nsfw tag. I doubt I'll be using it much, though.

Yeah, the RMMB dying coincided with my internet completely crapping out. Getting disconnected every 2 minutes is no fun. I'm still waiting for my telephone line to be upgraded to ADSL and for them to send me the router. It's pretty expensive connecting with cellphone and bluetooth, so you won't see me much until my new internet is up and running.

Anyway, thanks to Chater for starting this place.

However, I think that perhaps some advertising revenue might need to be generated to keep the site operational? (i.e. banner ads) Sadly, it's a necessary evil nowadays.

On another note, no, I did not have sex in the interim. I also don't drink as much anymore and have become reacquainted with Diablo 2. I hope there's a Be All End All Video Game thread here... if not, it needs to get started.

 

If that picture hadn't been up at least once on this board already, it would be funny.

This is RogueTrader, I posted a few times back on the old Idiot Board. Will more likely lurk than post on this new board like I did the past few months, given that work has me under the pump these days, but still good to see the site is back.

Used to post as Lalor, banned a lot of you idiots as Poopourri, stickin' with that one.

Here's to hoping that as soon as everyone loses interest in what they think "really happened" with the old board, the mods, Tucker, etc and get all the venom out of their system (waaaaah, I got banned, waaaaah, draconian this and that, waaa) this place thrives. There's always been a nice core contingent of intellect and humor, and this board should be no different. Unfortunately, I see a lot of the same names that were idiots there, so we'll see.

Posted on the old board as Rom_l from the early days. Rommel was a rugby nickname, but for some reason I couldn't register it. Lurked a lot, posted a bit, and posted sometimes when I shouldn't have.

I learned today what a small world it is. First thing this morning I was checking the web, while the young lady who stayed over last night got ready to go to work.

I said "I think I should check what is happening on the Idiotboard" and the response from her was "What is the Idiotboard?" I just started to explain how this site started and when I said the words "Tucker Max" she says.. "I belonged to his messageboard!"

She hadn't posted in awhile so she didn't know the old site went down, but she did confirm to me that she had posted in both the Booty and Boobie thread. At first I was upset I missed the pics, then I realized the real thing was in the shower with me last night, so I don't feel so dissapointed.

I will point her in the right direction and maybe this place will have another new recruit.

 

I was CaptainCoke on the old board, but I didn't post much at all. I'm about to have a daughter, so I'm sure I will have plenty of funny shit to share.

Glad the board is back up.

It's hilarious how some of you have all this pent up vitrol/anger and now you feel like you can finally let it out. Sad, but funny nonetheless. This is a legitimate question, for anyone who feels like being honest: what's with the bitterness? Half the people in this thread are typing like a scorned exgirlfriend. It was a fucking messageboard. Did you really have that much emotion and time invested? Seriously. If someone called me a buttfucking mouthbreather...eh, whatever. If I got banned, eh...whatever. How as a so called adult can you justify the amount of attention and emotion you've given to a GODDAMN MESSAGEBOARD and the posters within.
