Re: Introduction Well I am glad that this place popped up. I really do hope that it can be continually successful, and maybe improve upon the RMMB. I was DrayCoxx under the old board. I made that my AOL screen name when I was in 7th grade because I thought the two X's were bad ass at the time for some reason. Then when I originally registered for the TMMB in 2003 I was in 11th grade and I was still using that as my internet moniker. However since then I have realized how lame it was so I took this opportunity to change my name to DrayCox which is just based on my real name. I have to admit I was kinda disappointed when I saw the board had been shut down. As I said I've been a member there since 2003, so like some of the other people here, it was the longest I've ever been a part of something. Though at the end I think I had something like 80 posts so I wasn't a big poster. Mostly this was because I didn't feel like spending my time writing something only to have it deleted and mocked by some of the asshole mods (ahem, DCH and SLF). However ultimately I do appreciate all of the mods, even the asshole ones, because over the years I have tried to get involved in other forums but the total idiocy of the general poster was too much for me to handle. So above all else I say we try to keep the intelligence level up here. I think there is a reasonable chance that Tucker will bring the board back eventually. He is obviously a huge narcissist, and I think it really feeds his ego on a daily basis to have a community of people centered around him. Why he took it down is pretty plain to me: it just stopped being fun for him. He has hardly posted on anything but the movie forum for the past year, and then when his movie failed all the haters took it upon themselves to openly mock him in his own forum. I don't think that would be fun for anyone. For those of you who are saying that this is going to hurt his career, you really must not understand how successful of an author he really is. He is currently #1 on the NY Times Bestsellers List, and he has been on the list for something like 106 weeks straight. That is hugely successful. He has a massive audience, and only a small percentage of these people ever even made it to the boards. So, at least in the book world, I think he'll be fine. Sorry for being so long winded, but maybe I will post here more, or maybe not. But if the discussion is as intelligent and funny as the RMMB I will definitely be reading.

Re: Introduction I'm not sure how I even came across TuckerMax.com 2 years ago. I read all the online stories and couldn't get enough so I ran over to the message board. I was hootersgirl677. I think in two years I only posted about 20 things, but the message board was a staple in my day! So thanks chater for bringing us back together. I'm sure it will be great.
Re: Introduction I was also slightly embarrassed about how distressed I was when I saw that the board was down. Glad to have somewhere else to find the stuff that seemed to only be found on the RMMB.

I didn't post very often on the RMMB but I had been visiting the forum for years, when I found out that the forum was offline I thought it was high time to do something productive with my free time, like learn a new language or improve my Italian, however this forum will probably be a drawback. Anyway, good luck Chater, I'm look forward to seeing this forum evolve. Needless to say I expect a Booby/Booty thread and a porn thread, but around here, that's a given.

I was enjoying a nice bourbon last night when I had the brilliant idea of checking out the messageboard for old time sakes. There was a long boring message posted and because I can't be troubled with homework, I just closed my browser and said "FUCK IT". I went back there today, sober if not somewhat hungover and read through part of the message. I clicked the link here because it was the prettiest and I only go for the pretty ones. I didn't post much anymore. Not for the last year and a half. Suddenly you turn 30 and then sleepy time comes right around 8:30. My doctor thinks its from years of alcohol consumption. He doesn't know shit. It's from the drug use. It's good to see (HA!) some of you beautiful sonsofbitches here. I see I clicked the right link. That decision could have had Matrix-like consequences and I'm glad I'm back inside it. Fuck the red pill, I got it made in the Matrix. I look forward to sleeping with some of you. Re: Introduction I was a longg time lurker. I only posted once or twice under the name "ResultsnotEffort." I'm choked that I didn't have any prior knowledge that the RMMB was being shut down. Some of the Advice Threads were great life lessons. I wish I could have copied them to my computer. Oh well..

Re: Introduction I for one do not want to see the validation points brought back. They were stupid. By the end of the RMMB I could give 28-30+ points with a green dot. Why? I was not one of the better posters, hell I was barely sober most of the time, if people liked my stories that's great, but I should not have been included in the upper echelon in any way, shape, or form. Keep the rep points out of the equation, people can respond to you directly or send you a PM. Rep points were just stupid.

Re: Introduction I remember that there was a time where Drex accidentally set the rep points to zero which means that there was no way for you to go above or below that, ie no red or green dots. Setting it like this would make it an easy way to give a quick comment on a post with out turning this place into an IM convo, and would also keep PM space down, as we have a limited number available.
