I remember there was some back-and-forth with him and Tucker. I remember Tucker quipped at him something like "Sorry, I need to make this e-mail quick, I'm going to the gym in 26 minutes".
Okay, I'm not sure if anybody will remember this but hopefully someone will. It's still pretty hazy to me so I'll say what I at least think I remember: There was this guy who popped up on the RMMB and may have started a thread that had a weird intro. A couple mods including Tucker gave him the typical "What the FUCK retard" response, and he came back with this tidal wave old gold humour that just flattened everyone. So much, I think they instantly made him a mod on the spot. He made have had a separate hilarious humour blog somewhere else. I just remember his post was the funniest thing ever. The shit this guy said was gaspingly hilarious. Paraphrasing with a long reach here: "I'll have you know I'm very popular, I once went to a party with almost ten of my friends!" I was dying. Anybody? I have wanting to find out ANYTHING about that guy since we came here. I think his membership may have been short lived on the RMMB as well, it's like he trolled, and won. I may have more than one person mixed up in that, who knows.
Was it the guy (I may be combining a couple of people here, but I think it was just one) that was panned immediately, then drew a couple ridiculously funny cartoons and posted a video of himself giving a dildo to a co-worker at an office Christmas party?
I don't think so, but I don't think I saw all his posts either. I just wish I had a better memory of it because this is the first opportunity in half a decade to maybe find out about it.
From what you posted, it sounds like what Toytoy said, the dildo guy. He drew a couple cartoons, the first one he was called retarded. Then Tucker liked it and everyone else did. Edit: He also posted a couple videos. One was him giving the girl the dildo which made everyone go nuts.
I don't remember any cartoons. Wasn't that NirvanaSlave you're talking about? If so, it was not him for sure. Sorry about this, I guess nobody's gonna get any sleep tonight now.
Did it have something to do with a coors light cooler box leaking and not working? For some reason I feel like that was kungfu mike. Could be wrong
The one thing I do remember is his follow-up post to his first (and the typical noob insults) was so funny, and flattened so many people, they made him a mod on the spot.
I kind of remember that, and it does ring a bell that kungfu mike started something about a Coors Box/Cooler not performing, pictures and all. Then again didn't KFM live in NYC? Does that mean Smokey and the Bandit was a bald faced lying premise of a movie?
A couple people mentioned it may have been Madd Scientist, who best to my knowledge is the most quotable member of the RMMB.
And you wonder why people think you care to much about RMMB. Things like this and your hard on for wahoos. Thats why.
That's right Crown, don't be so vocal about your enjoyment of things, mask it with a hint of disdain a dash of "it's ok but I'm better than that", haven't you learned anything from hipsters?
I believe the Coors Light that came in it's own cooler was a Blue Dog thing. It was NirvanaSlave that drew the cartoons after his original off the wall post, but most importantly, I believe he coined 'Flesh Lettuce.'
This begs the question: is that man still alive? I haven't noticed the presence of El Perro Azul in quite a while. Blue Dog is the one person on here who could drunkenly post, "butts. huh??" and mean nothing and everything all at once.
I wasn't as involved on the old board as most of you who post here. I read a lot and can't remember what, if anything, I ever posted. But just reading some of these threads made me realize that my sense of humor has changed a lot in five years. I think the message board medium is kind of passe for trolling and witticisms like the ones in the red high heels thread. I still read and post on forums constantly, but I think it's doubtful another community like the RMMB will surface. Other services have met the need better. I can spot someone doing something stupid on Twitter and rip them for it and have it pushed to a much wider community immediately. In my opinion, this is a good and a bad thing. It's bad because you don't get the same depth of vitriol and analysis, but good because we have sorting mechanisms to comb through the different inputs and select the funniest ones. It sucks reading through a bunch of shitty piling-on responses to get to something Geigs said. I did experience a touch of nostalgia from the old colors, though. Did someone say that they successfully logged in and read some old PMs? Would love instructions on how to do so, if possible.
Things have consolidated, everything has gone from separate, specific communities to larger single places hosting many different smaller subgroups (see Reddit et al). The only forums that have really survived with quality are the ones for the extremely specific professions and hobbies (music engineering, fucking watches, and "I really like fucking girls who weigh the same as a small horse.") Forums like this (non-specific, multi-topic) just do not exist anymore.
There were some great moments, and some not so great moments. I enjoyed my time on RMMB, but got annoyed with the overarching moderation. But to be fair, it was explicit that's how things were going to be, it was for Tucker's entertainment. So I have no bitches about it, or even the way he shut it down. I got a fuckload of free entertainment, so I call it a win. Same with this place, for the low low price of fuck all, I get lots of entertainment and some great discourse. However, I do not click Bandit, Nom or CharlesJohnson's links. Not ever.
