    Nothing against gaelic because it sounds fucking awesome and badass when spoken, but the only people that speak it as are a) nuns and b) older than dirt.

    Serioulsy, I'd guess that there are <100 that speak it natively and they all live on Cape Breton so they don't even count anyway.

    Edit: FYI Calgary is gaelic for "pasture by the bay" which is silly because this place is land locked as fuck.

    I'll be damned if that nipple doesn't look like a hershey kiss.

    So it's Friday, I'm drinking Irish Whiskey with a splash of water and I'm pumped that the rest of my night will consist of Machete on Netflix and my ass on the couch. When did my life take such a turn for the lame? Fuck it, I like it.

    I plan on taking my little sister who has been living here for the summer to her very first CFL game tomorrow. I know it's not real football, but it should be pretty fun. If I end up posting here tomorrow night and I am at all coherent, then I've failed as a big brother.

    So, US debt got downgraded. I'm sure the people who mattered knew this well in advance and have planned spin for it, but fucking eh, I'm seriously unsure of the short term and long term implications of this despite by background in economics. As a person in my mid 20's the long term implications of this decade are starting to concern me

    Reminds me more of a tootsie roll left in my car too long which someone stuck on a novelty breast. Then someone bolted that breast to a shaved werewolf that got into the peroxide.

    Whiskey with a splash of water is perfect. That's my winter drink. I like using seltzer water though.

    Also, what's the record for you people not having a shower? I skipped today and my balls are fucking epic. I could knock a bird off the phone wire mid song if the wind is right.

    Brilliant idea. Though I do like the effect of a couple ice cubes melting.

    Whiskey is my winter drink. Bushmills is fucking amazing. Lost my taste for Jameson. Too sweet now. Bourbon was my thing last year. Maker's Mark, a little Knob Creek (which is kind of rough). Not a big Scotch guy either. Nothing is better in the fall than sitting with a book as that autumn wind blows in while you read and sip on the brown stuff. If there's a heaven, that is it right there for me.

    Rum is my summer drink. And I drink gin all year. Cruzan rum is wonderful. Cheaper than Bacardi. Doesn't taste like lighter fluid either.

    I will say that over the past year or so I've grown into a pretty big Scotch guy. I brought a bottle of Yamazaki 12 year to our family Christmas last year, and I remember everyone being really surprised that I drank it with just a few cubes of ice and no water or anything. Like I was some hardcore, 'can-handle-anything' drinker. Lightweights.

    Anyhow, I do agree with you about a couple of cubes of ice melting into the whisky. Some people would label me a heathen for drinking single malt any other way buy neat, but I like just as much water as a couple cubes of ice brings to the table. Delightful. I'm tempted to break out the last of my Glenkenchie, but that may be a bad idea after all this rum and orange soda.
