    I just watched "Get Low".

    Robert Duvall could play Brack Obama, and I still think it would be the most amazing performance ever.

    This should go in the childhood misperceptions thread but whatever.

    The first time I heard the perjorative "wetback" I thought the person said "whiteback". So I thought there was this latino gang where they painted their backs white. Because there was no way in hell I was going to ask questions about wetbacks this line of thinking went on far too long.

    And oh joy, it sounds like there might be some domestic violence above me tonight. You know how some people don't fit their name? A girl named Mercedes looks like an oldsmobile type of thing? This guy's last name is Killsfirst, but it should be Five Domestic Violence Incidents in the Past 8 Months.

    I suspect that a 3 and 6 year old are by themselves at my neighbors house alone. Details aside, should I get in touch with the father? I think he was under the impression that his fucked up sister in law was watching the kids. Is this none of my business? Does it at least warrant further investigation? I know the children.
