Nobody ever really talks about this, but I'm digging the new music this season. I enjoy hearing the progression from the more ambient, percussive style of S1 to the more orchestral and epic of S5. This season's music is awesome because a lot of the songs sound like alternate versions of old ones (the song that plays as they all get of the plane in LA X compared to the "Life and Death" theme). Giacchino is definitely one of my faves. Anyway, just wanted to point that out amidst of the discussion of who's soul Shang Tsung is going to steal and sweaty jungle sex with feral Claire.
I just had to wipe drool off my chin. I would break that chick in half, given the chance. Also, Giacchino is a master. Did you know he did the soundtrack for "Up"?
Yep - as well as The Incredibles & Ratatouille (for Pixar). He'll also be writing the score for the upcoming Pixar film "Newt." He also did the score for "Mission: Impossible 3" and the 2009 "Star Trek." As far as I'm concerned, Giacchino is the next John Williams - the "Up" score is probably the best movie score I've heard since "Jurassic Park." Fun fact - Giacchino composed the music for the first "Call of Duty" game.
I'm pretty sure Giacchino composed a piece for Cloverfield. It was called "Roar" and played during the ending credits. The man is supremely talented.
Ok, I've got so sick of watching this thread get a ton of replies to it that I had to get caught up on Lost. In the last two weeks (I actually started on February 20th) I've watched 5 seasons plus LAX Part 1 and 2. I will be caught up tonight and will have watched tonight's episode as well. I haven't read any of this thread either so it will be nice to finally look at it. This show has been pretty crazy and all over the place. Spoiler Let me just say this, I really hope that Juliet somehow makes it back (on some type of merge with the lateral timeline). Watching her die and how emotional Sawyer got, she just needs to come back. Not to mention she's really nice to look at. Elizabeth Mitchell needs to due another topless lesbo scene with Angelina Jolie.
I think it's safe to say this would be the Best.Show.Ever http://www.tvguidemagazine.com/kecks-exclusives/a-lost-lockeben-spin-off-4182.html
Yeah, but only if they brought along the non-cursed, Hummer driving version of Hugo Reyes to provide comic relief too.
Too bad she looks like a strung out cokehead in this one. At least she's showing that she's flexible. Spoiler
I just noticed watching last weeks episode how Shepard is wrote differently on the wheel then the other names. His name is in different handwriting and in all caps compared to those around him. It also looks like it was wrote hastily or something. What this means, I have no idea but I just saw it and thought it may be worth mentioning.
I noticed the same thing. I wonder if Jacob knew that irrational Jears would come flowing out and the mirrors would get smashed? Jesus, speaking of Jears, there are so many of them in the Lighthouse episode I want to smash a mirror too.
It's the new Purge and Sayid is the new Ben. This episode was pretty awesome, and it re-affirming my belief that everyone is taking over the old roles on the Island. Also, if MiB brought back Sayid, I'm wondering if that means Christian is walking around too.
Yeah, but... I don't think they could really do it. Maybe alternate world Ben dies? All I can say after this one is... holy fucking carnage, Batman.
Anyone else see Miles get trampled by a girl (when Ilana essentially barreled him over when he was blocking the door)? What a pussy. Easily the best/funniest part of the episode. The biggest thing that I'm trying to wrap my head around is how will all of the alternate timeline people get factored into the current island crew? It's going to happen, but how?! Maybe the alternate life is what the MiB keeps promising people for helping him (e.g. Sayid is now around Nadia in his other timeline). Also, whoever said that the missing coffin will be huge (earlier in the thread) I still think could be spot on. Maybe that will be our missing link between the two timelines. Fuck my head is spinning.
I forgot to add, who is side-timeline Jack's kid's baby momma? Juliet? Libby? Or will it be easy and be Sarah (if it's Penny or Cassidy I will poop myself)? Again, I'm reeling.
Which is a shame, Dogen was a great character in my opinion. I also really like the idea that all of these different island rolls are going to be filled by the losties. Also, in the preview it looked like Ben was digging up one of the beach graves, I imagine it has to be Locke's. I would absolutely love it if true Locke came back and ended up being the salvation of Jacob/The Island/The Losties.
Is anyone else getting a little bit bored by how easy the Losties are to manipulate? I seems like the character have become pawns of the story, rather than people with motivations and depth. Oh well, I'm still really enjoying the mystery unravel. I do hope there's a scene were Miles pulls the, "fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, you're cooool (pointing the Hurley), I'm out." I did love the evil smile Sayid had on his face at the end of the episode.
