Claire appeared right as Sayid was being banished. That's what made Dogen say "things have changed" and decide to send Sayid out to kill FLocke. I'm wondering just why FLocke needs his band of merry men. They must be important because I feel Claire would have just begun interrogating Kate about Aaron (and possibly kill her) as soon as she saw her. This leads me to believe that FLocke needs everyone and that's the only reason Kate's walking around right now.
Just to note, Sayid's "on-the-cross" pose is actually a reverse Crucifixion, like the one St-Peter had. Head down, ass up kinda deal. edit: Kate is literally the most useless person on this show. I don't know if I hate her story more or Sun's. Both of them. Just die already.
Weird. Women being useless. I'm sure JJ and crew will make Kate the most valuable piece now just to spite us all.
Kate is way too hot to be useless, cmon all she has to do is continue to wear tight tops and pants. Sayid's fight was the best in the shows history I think. Just great. Regarding the theory that the oceanic six is going to replace the major roles on the island, it sounds good but how would Jack be Jacob? Didn't Jacob specifically say Jack "had to do something" it didn't sound like "something" was replace him. Also was there any other meaning/symbolism behind the baseball? Or did it just remind him of his son? It seemed to get a lot of camera time just for a story about his boy. Time to get Sawyer back please. http://blog.escapefromcorporate.com/wp- ... n-lost.jpg (I'm not sure why I thought this was so funny) I thought the best line was when Miles said " I didn't go after Sawyer because I figure he would berate me until I left" Flocke is Fluckin scary................
The only connection between the two realities that I can see are that the people who are joining Flocke are having a pretty shitty life in the alternate reality. Sayid is back to killing people and can't be with Nadia, and Kate is STILL a fugitive. The jury on Claire is still out, although one could make a case (admittedly a shitty one), that aiding a murder suspect's escape could lead to some pretty poor results. I can't figure out what this means exactly. In one sense, it makes Jacob look like the bad guy, because without him influencing Jack, Locke, Dogen, and Hurley's lives, they were much happier. On the other hand, this peek into the alternate reality might be indicative of people's true self, and essentially if they are good or bad. Without Jacob's intervention and/or the plane crashing, Jack, Locke, Dogen, and Hurley went on to lead good lives because they are inherently "good" people. Without Jacob's intervention and the plane crashing, Kate and Sayid are still fucked, because there is something in them that is bad, regardless of what happens. They still murdered people. The alternate reality might just be there to help explain why the sides shake out the way they do in the coming episodes. It will be good vs. evil, black vs. white, as the show has been alluding to for so long, and the alternate reality will explain why some of the Losties are on the "evil" side. It might not even be that Kate and Sayid are "evil," but that they are not blessed or chosen or whatever you want to call it. Even Ben being a teacher supports this theory. Although he has been manipulative and ruthless in some cases, the fact that he dedicated his life to teaching others in this alternate reality showed that he was good at heart.
I'm not sure that being divorced and trying desperately to mend a relationship with your son is having a good life. You had mentioned that the people with Flocke are having a shitty life; so is Jack. They lost his dad's body, his mom's a mess, divorce and kid, I see the point you are trying to make I'm just not sure I'm buying. Jin is not on a side yet and clearly he is having terrible alternate realities, he is been stopped by customs with a ton of cash (while his wife abandons him) and he's beaten up in a closet in the other one.
http://www.11points.com/TV/11_Early_Rol ... A report in the Washington Post with the LOST creators saying that not all the questions in the series will be answered. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dy...03/01/AR2010030103497.html?hpid=news-col-blog I'm sure mostly smaller questions will not be answered. The example given in the article is the identity of the guy Sayid shot on the golf course. Provided the missing answers are similar to that, I can deal with not getting everything.
I'm wondering why they haven't given us Flocke's real name yet. I think now there's only two explanations: 1) The name is a HUGE reveal, someone we've heard of already. Or 2) We will never know, adding to the mystery of the character Personally, I think it's got to the stage where it would be too late for Flocke to ask everyone to start calling him Sam or Jim or Matt. I could be wrong though.
They've already said in an interview somewhere that (minor spoiler): Spoiler The identity of FLocke/MiB/Smokey will NOT be revealed until the very last episode of the series. But it will be revealed.
I wouldn't think it would matter. I don't need to know the name of the Man in Black unless it directly relates to the story. If he's Magnus Hanso, for instance. Which is clearly not possible, since Magnus had to do with the Black Rock, and MiB was already there. As far as I know, that's the earliest name we know in series mythology. And if he turns out to be an Egyptian deity, I may destroy all my Lost DvDs.
"I was a man once, James. Just like you." I'm gonna say not a god. I'm gonna say his "identity" is not so much his name, but something along the lines of him having been Jacob's brother.
I thought everyone knew his name, it's Titus Welliver. Here is some info on him in case you missed it.................... http://www.tv.com/titus-welliver/person ... _crew_list I also will have a monstrous temper tantrum if he is an Egyptian deity.
I'm secretly hoping that someone kills the Lockeness monster so that he can then take the form of Michael C. Hall and we can have a Dexter reunion between the MIB and Jacob in the afterlife.
I've been wondering how the Others are organized. I mean we had Ben, Alpert, Dogen, Widmore and Eloise all at some point and in some capacity being in charge of the Others. Yet it looks as if all of them only knew part of what was going on. Would be interestings to know if all of that was Jacob's idea or if Flocke had something to do with it. As for the last episode, not much to add but I'm was asking myself where Sawyer (still at the cave? voluntarily?) and Alpert are.
it's totally going to be a Superman III type deal where Jacob was split in two -- Jacob and the "other Jacob". Walt is going to return to the island in the Richard Pryor role, now that they're both about the same age/size.
I figured out who the Smoke Monster is guyth, it's fucking Miley Cyrus. No Foolin. Via, oddly enough, Carlton Cuse's twitter:
