From what I remember, when Alpert, Miles, and Ben left, Ben said there was C4 stashed in Dharmaville, and they were going to go get it to use on the plane.

That's not right. Jack lit the dynamite and then wouldn't leave.

Did Frank make it? They show him getting hit by the door and fall down, but they never showed us anything about him not making it. I'll be bummed if he didn't make it off the sub.

I'm betting he's dead. Which brings up the $64,000 question: Now who is going to fly the damn plane?

Please don't tell me FLocke knows how to fly a plane. I'm already having a hard time believing that he knew how to make that bomb out of some C-4, a wristwatch, and some wires. He's been on that island for a VERY long time. How did he learn that MacGyver shit?

You've seen how he scans people, right? And how he knows all of their memories? He probably scanned Sayid, that's all it would take.

Thus creating a Fight Club type scenario.

Sayid: If you know how to build the bomb, then I know how to defuse it.
Flocke: Or maybe I knew you'd know so I spent all day deliberately fucking up the design. Oh no, don't pull the wires simultaneously, anything but simultaneously.

I'm reading the latest issue of "Entertainment Weekly", which is an "All About LOST" special with recaps and insight in anticipation of the series finale. (They've done this in the past for iconic shows, notably "Seinfeld".)

One interesting bit of information is put out: Libby's last name is revealed to be Smith. Does anyone know if this was already common knowledge, or am I just late to the party?

I can definately say this is the first I'm hearing about it. I believe the rumor was when she first appeared that her last name was going to be Widmore and that's why they left it a secret, so they can give you the A-HA! moment later. She was the one that gave Desmond the sailboat that we are still seeing to this day. When they decided to kill her along with Ana Lucia (to add more drama to it, because everyone hated Ana Lucia) they decided to drop it. This is all based soley on my memory of that time period when the character was introduced. (The first 3 seasons I was heavy into spoilers and reading up on everything possible Lost. I had to stop because it was ruining the show for me.)

I looked on Lostpedia and they have it listed as Elizabeth LIbby Smith, but I still don't ever remember them saying her last name.

A remarkably brief Doc Jensen article which points to some of Darlton's official answers to stuff that won't be addressed anymore. Mainly visions of dead people and stuff, as well as a promise not to spoil anything.

Another theory inspired by this week’s Sideways world story comes from Eddy Rivas, who found it conspicuous/suspicious that “The Candidate” revealed to us that Sideways Locke has a pilot’s license. Apparently anticipating a scenario by which Fake Locke would be able to tap Sideways Locke’s aviation skills, Eddy writes: “I’m calling this right now: Side Locke is going to fly the Ajira plane off the island.”

I didn't even think of that.................

No real need to, because that theory comes with one huge ass assumption.....that Flocke kills all the remaining Candidates. No dead Candidates, no Flocke leaving, simple as that.

Also... There's no fucking way that plane is gonna fly again.

Fist they'd need to get it turned around, then they'd need to get it up to takeoff speed on that short ass runway, then they'd have to find a way for the pilot to deal with 500mph wind coming through the broken cockpit windshield... Not gonna happen.

Plus the guy who could maybe, just maybe fix the thing just blew up with the bomb on the sub. As far as I know none of the survivors left have any experience with fixing electrical, mechanical equipment of any kind. I think they are going to need a hell of a lot more than a Swiss Army Knife and a roll of Duct Tap.

That's way more likely than a submarine with an automatic transmission.

You didn't know that bearing and tilt, navigation in general, can be controlled by moving two levers back and forth? What kind of silly Naval officer were you?

I've got a pretty big boner for tomorrow's episode.

The kind that apparently couldn't open a scuttle with the same kind of ease it takes to drive Widmore's sub.

Because the show as a whole would REALLY be served better if they took the time to show an accurate representation of how to drive a submarine just to placate the .0001% of their fans who have any idea how a sub works.

But anyway, here is a good SPOILER FREE interview with Damon and Carlton from nymag.com,
    http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2010/05/lost_showrunners_damon_lindelo.html
I'd like to point you to one paragraph in particular because, no matter how many times I read this, I have no idea what it means:
