Strangely enough, this happens to me as well. This year I'm doing a pool with a co-worker and his brother and a bunch of their friends. At $100 each, winner takes $1000.
You getting in on our free group again? Like two people have filled out their brackets from last year, and I'm a little unhappy about it.
Oops. Hadn't checked that e-mail in forever. But yes, I will be joining. I believe I have to defend my TiB title from last year.
Can someone post a link to this? I don't think I was a part of it last year but I'd love to get in on things this time around.
The password for this is tuckermax. Sorry for any emails or anything that I missed last night / this morning. Oh, and apparently editing brackets is closed. If anybody didn't make it in and still wants to, let me know and send me your picks and I will enter them myself. For some reason it lets me edit whenever and I want, so if any of you piss me off I'm going to change your picks to the 16 seeds into the Final Four. Fuckers.
Only saw the end of the Butler game but that's all I needed to see. Kinda felt bad for Old Dominion, could never tell if those types of losses were tougher to take or easier to take then being blown out. Either way I hope this is a sign of things to come. Close, nail biting games.
Butler's on the board with the first great finish of the tournament. Bigass hustle play by Matt Howard. How I would love for Morehead State to take down one of their in-state bullies. They're sticking around down the stretch. For those of you who don't know Kenneth Faried, you may be looking at the next Dennis Rodman (sans wedding dress). He broke Tim Duncan's all-time rebounding record in February.
Holy cow, three awesome finishes in four games. Temple takes down Penn Staet (who I thought was way overseeded) in the last second following a 30 foot three by Taylor Battle. Princeton-UK is close at the half, too.
These boys are bringing the drama from the get-go. Wow. I'm 2-2 thus far, and had both PSU and Louisville winning in the next round.
Me too! I only had Louisville winning the next game. The other 2 were 1 and done. Let's see if Princeton can frustrate Kentucky's freshman enough to win.
Jimmer is probably a better all-around scorer at the college level than J.J., but Redick was a better pure shooter. It's not just in terms of numbers; read the scouting reports about Redick's shot -- hell just look at it. His form is almost Ray Allen perfect, it's just that he's average to below average in every other facet of the game. Another comp for Jimmer might be somebody like Nate Robinson, who can provide offensive punch off the bench. The problem, of course, it that he's a high usage guard that can't cover anybody. You have to be really good to make up for that; we'll see if he can.
Vanderbilt bows out for the second year in a row. Have to say I felt comfortable in this upset happening. The only upset I'm more confident about is Oakland over Texas.
Ditto. I watched Richmond play last week, and realized they had about a 50-50 shot of beating a thoroughly uninspiring Vandy team. In addition to having little to wow me this year, Vandy perenially underperforms in March. Three straight first round exists in their last three appearances. Even I'm not crazy enough to suggest that Oakland has the slightest bit of a chance, though. Also, suck it Rick Pitino. You white suit wearing ass.
Please, continue to fuck up Spartans. Cap off the terrible season with an incredibly shitty tournament showing. I'm going to turn the TV off if UCLA has double our score at half, if not then, then at 10 min left when UCLA has at least 12 on us...or if our shooting goes below 25% which is looking like very, very soon.
