Are you trying to say that Soto batting below the Mendoza line isn't awesome? I seriously don't know what that dudes deal is, one year up, the next down, one year he has power, the next he can't keep his right hand on the bat. There is nothing constant about him, other than those beautiful beautiful eyes.

No sweep of the bay area teams this year. I really do not care about the Giants, other than friends and clients who are fans. I really did not want to see the A's set a new MLB record of six losses in elimination games, so this win is very nice. It is still too much to hope for as far as winning the series. I will still be watching and rooting though.

    Its simple...

Dude loves pot and eating. He doesn't have a commitment to staying in shape, so it spills over to his game. Drove me crazy when he was a Cub, cause he looked like he was going to be a star after his rookie year. Then he ate himself out of being elite.

Today I took off work so I can attend the Reds/Giants game with my father. I will walk out of this game with a smile on face no matter what, because:
    1. The Reds win and advance to the NLCS
    2. The Reds lose and I will get to see Dusty Baker's final game as Reds manager.
    3. Baseball game is infinately better than work.

    FFFFFUUUUUUUUU

This is a monumental collapse, but I can't see any way they fire Dusty. They need to get rid of Cairo, Stubbs, and Leake while also starting Frazier over Rolen.

Fuck. Oakland could beat Detroit, they just could not touch Verlander. Well played. Fuck.

It's amazing the difference 24 hours can make.

I don't think the need to get rid of Cairo, but they do need a better bench. Wilson Valdez probably shouldn't be on a major league roster. Hopefully Rolen retires, there isn't much room on the bench for an old struggling hitter who only plays one position. Stubbs should only see the field as a pinch runner or defensive replacement. I would rather see Heisey and Xavier Paul on the roster before Stubbs.

    This is true.

I think I speak for most Yankees fans/players when I say I want no parts of Verlander right now.

I was wrong before about 24 hours. What a difference an hour or two can make in my mood.

Good start Giants. I do not want to see St Louis in the World Series again.

Good job Detroit. Now put the Yankees out of their misery.

Well for the 2nd time in their relatively short history, the Marlins have fired a Manager after just 1 year.

    <a class="postlink" href="http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/8543189/ozzie-guillen-fired-manager-miami-marlins" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/85431 ... mi-marlins</a>

The Marlins front office wants a lapdog. A scapegoat. Ozzie didnt pick Heath Bell or John Buck.

Did not go to 1 game this year. Fuck them. Their attendance for what is supposed to be a pretty sweet new ballpark was shitty. Cant wait til next year!

Go Detroit and make it quick. As an Oakland fan, I can tolerate a certain amount of success by the Giants. This is now officially too much. God I swear Giant fans are beginning to make the Red Sox Nation look tolerable.

Detroit had better get off their fat asses, or it is going to be a long offseason of listening to those damn Giant fans everyday going on and on about two World Series victories in three years. I will be one very unhappy Puffman. Now damnit, go out and dominate those National League pussies.
