Plenty of room down here at the bottom of the AL West.

I say he sign with the Twins. Not like their at bats matter at this point.

We suck but it has been nice beating the Giants twice in a row like that. Our pitching staff is decimated and our bullpen vastly depleted as they try and get a sweep. Here's hoping.

Geez, did anybody see this story?
    http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/1...imhof-loses-right-eye-freak-training-accident
Matt Imhof, Phillies pitching prospect, lost his eye from a freak accident. All the stories kept saying "freak accident" or just "piece of metal" and not explaining what happened. Then, I saw this:
    http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/...league-pitcher-injured-in-freak-accident.html
Either Brevard County, or the Brewers (why not Phillies?) are going to be writing him a big fat check. Probably more than he'd have made in an MLB career.

I just assumed it had something to do with Tim Lincicum.

I think the Jays need more pitchers. They had to send in two second basemen to the mound today. (It didn't work.)

I'm at the Jays game. Rajai Davis for Cleveland just hit for The Cycle in the ninth inning. Great game, too.

It would be nice if one of my sports teams(Yankees/Bulls/cowboys) were relevant...sadly this is not the case...

One of my favorite Mariners got called back up because of injuries to the big club roster.

Mike Zunino. He struggles to hit .200. Actually "Struggles" is the wrong word...his lifetime batting average is .193, but he's fun to watch in a Dave Kingman kind of way. The guy has some serious power. He was hitting .282 with 15 HR's down in AAA. He got the start tonight vs. the O's and homered in his first AB.

    Atta boy Mikie.

The former scouting director of the St. Louis Cardinals has been sentenced to nearly four years in jail for hacking the Houston Astros’ player personnel database.

Boy, that has to be one of the most disappointing crimes of which you can be convicted. Like, getting convicted of attempted bank robbery, at a bank where the vault was empty because that branch had closed a couple years ago.

Made my annual trek down to Cincinnati to catch my one and only chance to see the Braves in person yesterday and wow... that was painful. @Rush-O-Matic I don't know how you can make yourself go to the ballpark as often as you do.
