As a Braves fan, I resigned early in the season for any postseason hopes. Instead I'm now fully rooting for the Cubs to win just to see the epic meltdown of all Cardinals fans everywhere.

Replace "Braves" with "Yankees" and that's basically what I've been doing.

Why did you resign early in the season? The Yankees won 84 games, including 48-33 at home, and had a chance to make the playoffs until about 2 weeks left in the season. The Braves lost 50 games at home and opened the season going 5-18 in April and 9-18 in May.

    Come at me, bro.

I probably should have clarified; in no way am I saying that both teams had similar expectations going into the season or during it. I was simply very skeptical of the Yankees postseason chances (as I've been the last three years) and so didn't have any (realistic) postseason hopes for them.

Jesus this is brutal. I need to get to bed yet can't.

And fuck that cunt fan who threw the beer. This is the second time fans have acted like soccer fuckheads in a playoff game. Knock it off, dummies.

I don't care for Buck Showalter. I enjoy that the sports media is killing him for making a bad decision, not bringing Britton in. I'm not sure he was wrong, but I'm glad he's catching heat.

Unless it comes out that Britton was hurt, he absolutely was. You're in a one game playoff, you pitch what you got. Ubaldo was throwing clouds up there.

    I fucking hate Toronto fans.
Playing there and dealing with that crowd and the potential mayhem is maddening.

I think if you get called out on a borderline strike and you're a pitcher, you probably shouldn't complain to the umpire. Just sayin...

    Also, I love playoff baseball.

Fuckin' Bumgarner. Has he ever not pitched a complete game in the postseason?

    That was sarcastic, but damn...

Toronto fans act like they went anywhere in the postseason after the alds last year, and they were rude and didn't send beltre a thank you card for holding Bautista up after that jack.

The only worse thing than metaphorically doing nothing after the ALDS is literally doing nothing after the ALDS

the sign in the dome was great
"Rather be punched in May than knocked out in October"

Best tweet I saw was from @downgoesbrown:
"Imagine losing to a team in the playoffs, crying about it all year long, finally getting your rematch, and then getting swept."
