Dude, those have been up on Netflix for MONTHS. You may not believe this, but I just finished "The Naked Gun" a few minutes ago, and Jungle Julia and I watched "Blade Runner: The Final Cut" the last time we tripped, which was about 2-3 months ago. Anyway, before anyone bitches that this post isn't on-topic, some of y'all might want to check out "Hoops." It's an animated series in the same spirit as "Big Mouth," but not as funny. Some people might like it, though.
That's not what Nett said. He told me that Netflix-Canada doesn't have to deal with all the bullshit copyright laws that we have in the US; thus, they have far greater content.
Yes and no. It’s more lenient and less restrictive, but this is like Star Wars in that it’s more about licensing than anything. Canada still gets different content than the US.
Would YOU believe that we would have planets colonized by 2019? None of us would. Tears in the rain, bitches.
If you're into docos there is one called Connected which has been really interesting so far. Goes into a certain topic and how all sorts of different things in the world are connected to it, the first episode was about how the dust in a certain part of the Sahara affects weather patterns all over the world.
Hoops was awesome. I thought it had a pretty legit feel to it. Watching Another Life right now. It's...meh. It's kind of doing the recent phenomenon in Netflix where they have a representation checklist, and they go through it. Most of the time they just kill the person afterwards.
Netflix just launched their live action version of Cowboy Bebop. I've watched the first episode and am enjoying it so far.
Knowing nothing about the series other than its reputation as a classic, should I watch the anime version first, or jump straight into the live action?
I've been meaning to check it out, but the live action anime do ups have been pretty bad so far. A lot of that stuff doesn't translate very well away from the animated medium. Arcane (League of Legends) was pretty good story wise, but bloody fantastic on the animation. Great sense of style and aesthetic, very well executed.
I know I’m way behind but I finally watched “The Irishman” and enjoyed it. I just had to watch it in two sittings because Marty made it 3 1/2 hours long. Also if you haven’t watched it yet, I highly recommend “After Life” by Ricky Gervais.
I might be behind but! Disney+: Solar Opposites Kind of like a more fun Rick and Morty. Jokes are funny, timing is good, animation is pretty quality. The entry of a lot of the "woke" concepts in to the show feel WAY less ham fisted/checklisty compared to a lot of the current set list of streaming shows. Prime: In to the Badlands I had watched season 1 when it was on Netflex, but it disappeared over to APrime. It's hokey, but it's a fun ride, and some of the fights are really well done. I enjoy different views of the dystopic future!
That is, in my opinion, THE coolest live venue in your country and a top five in the world. Every thing about it is perfect.
We did some wild shit to keep people employed during the depression. "Build a fuck-off massive dam near Vegas. Turn these cool rocks into an ampitheater. I don't know, just do something and we'll pay you not to starve you damn Okie."
Tales From The Loop Kind of a weird take on the one "weird shit happens" genre. A bit like Outer Range in that respect. The episodes are pretty fun, although kind of depressing at times. It's kind of weird how when things happens, the researchers at the facility are just "ah yea, that's what happens". It was good though. I enjoyed watching all of the episodes and I'm now looking for the next series to get in to for sleepless nights.
