It's all good dude... and your work to get it up and running after TMMB died was, and still is, muchly appreciated. In the end, it's just a message board on the internet... it's not a big deal.
Is this where we all hug and rub up against each other? Sweet! Everyone can only do their best with what they know and the time they have to spend here, improving, moderating and such. Even though I did feel like I was the only one moderating anything I still did it for a handful of reasons, the most of which is I didn't want to see this place go to complete shit. I think that had Nett not stepped back through the doors, this place would have died sooner rather than later.
Having seen other boards die a slow death, it would have been sad, especially given the problem here wasn't the typical problem that causes boards to die: no interested posters. I haven't seen a ton of boards, but it seems to be a good thing that the issues related to technical/mod things and not loss of interested posters (though that seems to really only have happened due to technical issues). Fortunately, having someone around who can fix the issue seems to be just what the doctor ordered. And thanks shegirl for sticking it out, you seemed to be the only one here doing stuff on a regular basis for some time. Glad you're finally getting help.
Weird... I replied from Tapatalk and it was just blank. Welcome back Nett, it wasn't the same here without you.
No... that's what you DID do originally... your last message was just fine. The first one was where you put that message in the subject line.
Second message was posted from my computer, hence the non-fuck up. But tapatalk hadn't been working on this forum for quite a while and I noticed last night that it was again, which pleases me as work doesn't like it when I check TiB on their computers.
Yeah, that's something I'm looking at fixing sooner rather than later, once the domain transfer takes place. I'll update the server to the latest/greatest version and that should help deal with any issues like out-of-date tapatalk support.
Damn... Great to know that things are looking up, and good to know you and Dcc got to meet up for a bit. Getting back into Porsche racing any time soon?
[quote="TJ Getting back into Porsche racing any time soon?[/quote] My best friend has a new shop that's doing really, really well, and he's floating around the idea of fielding a 2 car team in the TUDOR series (Grand Am and ALMS merged this year) in a couple of years, and has asked me if I'd be interested in being "very involved". If that pops up, I'd do what I could to jump on that wagon, as it looks like it'd be for a full year of racing, at a minimum. I'd probably just manage the team, not drive (unless it was an emergency), but still, it'd be a shit-ton of fun. I doubt I'd get back into private racing any time in the next few years... but I might pick up an old 911 and drive the shit out of it a bit. That's REALLY hard to let go of.
