Yeah, Nett, but I don't start harassing the seller if they don't take my low-ball offer. Which is what Elon's goons are doing. Did you read the article?
Yeah, I did, and I also took it with a grain of salt. They have a narrative they are driving toward. I'm not saying it's all roses and sunshine and unicorns... but I'm also saying he's not some evil overlord killing family pets to get them to move.
And just for some balance... I know of a ton of developers, who aren't multi-billionaires, who are trying to buy up land/houses for development. I think it goes both ways. The sellers now think their shit is worth 5 times what it was, and the developer is trying to get it for the cheapest they can.
Okay, Nett, we'll see Are the developers harassing the owners, though? Nett, let's put this issue to bed for now. Let's see how it plays out. But I hear about his shenanigans in Cameron County every day, and I live here, but this is the first time The Wall Street Journal reported on it.
I hear you dude... I don't know the details, and I'm a "big picture" fan of his, and it would really suck if there was some shitty stuff going on. I hope it all works out well in the end.
Bezos announced he’ll be on board blue origin’s first crewed space flight in a month, along with his brother
Now we know why he stepped down. It's in case he doesn't come back. I'm sure his legal zoom will is in order, and McKenzie already has half the fortune to sort out the light bill.
Starlink is gonna be mobile? I know the "news" is a bit old, but anyone with more insight into this care to chime in about if this is still in the hype mode or if it's actually gonna happen? @Nettdata how's your experiment with it going?
It’s already working. When it fires up it first looks for its “home” sat, and if it can’t find it, it searches for the next best signal and latches on there. Before that was enabled it just looked for the home sat and failed if it wasn’t found. Which makes perfect sense for a beta.
do you require a satellite dish for each place you take it? my thinking is, I’d like for when we pack our bags, to just pack the Internet with us. Going to the lake house? Get the router thing. Camping? Toss it in the backpack…. Is it like that? Or is it still a process?
You need the router and dish wherever you go. How do you expect to chat with a satellite without the dish?
I guess they didn't bolt the satellite dish on the roof because they didn't want rain to leak into the car. Smart. https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2021/07/02...th-apparent-spacex-starlink-dish-on-hood.html
You also need something not retarded like, say, an RV to attach it to so you don’t look like the biggest asshole in the solar system. Which then gets filmed and put on the internet for an eternity. People at our campground have Starlink. But the dishes are on RV’s or park model cottages. Not a goddamn sedan.
