Yeah, that's what Bill Gray said in that CNN article I linked, but China said, naw ours done burned up comin' back down.

Supposedly, the pictures and reports to be released tomorrow are going to be mind-blowing. Colors, objects and details like we've never seen. Pretty exciting! https://twitter.com/hankgreen/status/1546340982798618625?s=20&t=glhHmP0WGTtcrpaUwo8jOg
As much as I am really, really impressed with the quality of images they're showing from the JW platform... what is super impressive for me is the overwhelming reaction from the pros in the field who live and breathe this shit every day. The fact that they are so excited and amazed by the results is the real litmus test to me. I can't wait until they get into some serious processing/interpretation of these images. That is, I'm assuming they're following the same life cycle as Hubble... where they came out with the quick-to-market cool looking pics, but then a year later they released the REAL shit that they had time to dig their teeth into. It's amazing. And, if you haven't seen it, you should really check out the James Webb series on Smarter Every Day. Dustin's dad worked on the project, so he got some serious behind the scenes access that was really impressive.
There has to a a hundred thousand supergalaxies in that photo alone. Every single spot of light is from a quasar.
it's an infrared pic, from what I understand... it's been processed to look the way it does. Quasars pretty well dominate that type of image just because of what they are. Quasars are a subclass of active galactic nuclei (AGNs), extremely luminous galactic cores where gas and dust falling into a supermassive black hole emit electromagnetic radiation across the entire electromagnetic spectrum.
That's cool and all, but how does this fit into Christ's plan for us? I'm really looking forward to the full batch of images. Can't get enough of this stuff and it makes me want to dust off my telescope tonight.

Especially when you consider the Webb picture was obtained with 12.5 HOURS of exposure vs the 2 WEEKS of exposure time for the Hubble image.
Wrong religion. This is literally the Celestial Kingdom where Mormon men will call their wives by their secret names, to live with them in eternity, each man with a planet of his own where he will rule as a god.
There have been Quasars found with x-ray trails over fifteen million light years in length. That’s one, single galactic nucleus piloting twenty quadrillion stars around it. We are a grain riding on a grain riding on a grain of sand. We are SO insignificant compared to the scope of it all.
Here’s a fun guessing game: since each spot of light in the photo is probably at least a trillion stars, guess how many earth-like planets that contain life are amongst those stars. …..I’m going to say at least fifty thousand.
