    I woke up to this view every morning last week:



    We went golfing at a course on the lake, finishing up back towards the lake. A little hard to see but the lake appears between the trees at the end of the fairway:

    That is the Mississippi you can see through the big hole in the levee that is 3 blocks from my house. There's another levee one behind that one, so it's not really a big deal, but it's still pretty disconcerting.

    After the last of our food came off the smoker, we set it afire to clean it out. Someone snapped off a perfectly timed picture of me in front of it. I'd say it was fake myself if I wasn't standing right in front of it.

    So I was up at my cabin this weekend, watching baseball in my bunkhouse and taking a nap. When I woke up I walked towards the door and this dude was sleeping right in the corner. I put him in a bucket and took him on a 3 mile car ride to a place where no one lives. This is an Arizona Black Rattlesnake, about 2 feet long and has 9 rattles, he was very calm and just wanted to sleep he did not rattle much, I think he just ate a good sized meal. I have never seen one of these but really a pretty snake that I am glad I found and not my dogs.
