That's awesome - you inspired me to post one of mine from last year. I'm going again in a few weeks for my little sister's birthday, but I feel like she's gonna freak out and try to back out when we get up there.
Rush was awesome last night. While the quality of the music is essentially a given, the lights/visuals throughout the show were incredible. Their stage was huge and damn near reached the roof of the arena (which isn't massive, but isn't that small, either--seats about 10,000). Hovering over the stage were 10 panels that you didn't even know were there for the first half of the show. They were tilted back 90º and had spot lights on the edges that made them look like regular light bars. When flipped up, they acted as additional monitors for the visuals they were running on the big center screen, all linked together so the images could run through them in all directions pretty seamlessly. All of the panels were able to travel vertically roughly +/- 20-25 feet and could tilt probably 30º left or right when facing you. If all they had was their regular lights, it still would've been very cool (especially when they synced the lights to rain in the visual during one song), but those panels added a really cool dynamic element to the show that I had never seen before. Here's an example during "The Gardener"
This is my roommate and a good friend. They went to Alley Theater tonight here in Houston. When he texted me this picture, I became murderously jealous. Remus is in Death of a Salesman. They hung out after the show and had a drink with him.
I took a break while hunting this past weekend to shoot some photos, and the delicate ice lining a little creek caught my eye.
Tahoe was amazing - I'm pleading and puppy dog eyeing for another trip in February - this time during the snowy times. I'm pretty sure I'll be in a sling, but whatever. I really want to go back.
soooooo before I had surgery, I decided to be a total dipshit and do some things I shouldn't have done with the injury I had. But they made for a decent photo...
Impromptu weekend with The Husband... We went to Pfeiffer Beach at Big Sur and got beat to death by the wind... Spoiler
Here is a photo of my son and I at the Austin Second Amendment rally last month (blacked out for obvious reasons). I thought you guys might get a kick of the sign I made.
Fun times lobbying at the capitol. Educational. Fun. Would've been more enjoyable without lines and shoes.
Driving home from the park on the street right up to our apartment, el husband spied a chameleon crossing the road. He loves chameleons so he went over and picked it up and took it inside for 5 minutes before releasing it near where we found it in a tree.
The Husband and I went to Robledo Family Winery last time I was in California. Fantastic, and a great story.
We've been having fun today. This girl was lifting atlas stones and got ATE THE FUCK UP. The guys from LBEB answering questions...
