Went out to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary last night at one of the premiere seafood restaurants in the area. Mondays they have all-you-can-eat stone crab claws, choice of soup or one of several salads and choice of side dish for $69. This was the first plate of crab.
And here was a special dessert not on the menu, compliments of the restaurant, chocolate bread pudding with chocolate ganache and cherries jubilee.
This is the view from my parents' back porch, overlooking our hometown in the Minnesota River valley. The scenery changes dramatically with the seasons, and winter offers a spectacular view during and after snowstorms.
He came home to switch to his fancies, and I was painting my nails. When he was finished dressing he decided to help.
First year with a bird feeder and a rare snow storm. Birds love the shit out of the feeder during a storm apparently:
My mother was going through some old stuff and ran across this picture and it amused me. The neighborhood used to do a Mardi Gras parade with the kids and make floats out of wagons and stuff. I was king one year, so here I am as King of the Krewe of Philip Street. Spoilered for size.
Recently back from a holiday in Algeria. Amazing country. Constantine may have the most stunning location of any city I've witnessed. And Ghardaia has an incredible architectural style but ethnic tensions meant the locals were busy burning down houses. (Which lead to me spending ten hours in the cop shop accused of espionage.)
Another ice storm, another cardinal photo. What makes this one interesting is that the cardinal is freaking out, because the ice build up has caused our squirrel proof feeder to shut closed. Apparently this cardinal was trying to bend the cage to get to the seeds.
