Yea, and what ever your poison(nikon/canon) you can pick up a nice camera for cheap if you go a generation or two older and still have a really nice camera that you can play with.
Still playing with IR. I went out in the front yard and took a few shots (Still in full auto mode with a 950 IR Pass filter on the f828.) They came out interesting, once I gain full control of the aperture and shutter speed this really should be fun to play with.
A string of Facebook messages regarding an upcoming bachelorette party just took an interesting turn...
So we went hiking in Peru this year for our 10th anniversary. Here are a couple of highlights: Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler
If you're going to drive ship-sized turbine blades through one-road small towns instead of around them, maybe you should ensure ahead of time they can fit through the intersections.
Took the kids to Washington DC. There were about three groups of these guys (in various positions) trying to make the Washington Monument look like their erect wiener.
Behold, the hipster photographer in his natural habitat... clutching a vintage 35mm top mounted viewfinder camera at a scenic lookout as he tells the world about it on his iPhone. He snapped one quick photo at this spot and spent the rest of the time on the phone. Pretty funny. That scenic lookout, Oak Creek Canyon near Sedona, AZ: Also the Grand Canyon could be the most incredible thing I've ever seen, and while we were visiting the South Rim I spotted a big hawk perched right on the canyon rim and managed to find a good place to photograph it from. Shortly afterwards a brazen raven appeared and started furiously dive bombing the hawk for a minute while the larger hawk just seemed annoyed. A true Kodak moment!
When you see it, you'll shit bricks... (Taken at the kiddie-land at the 2016 McAllen International Car Show)
I do love Lake Superior in the summer, but it is spectacular in the winter months too. I am getting married at that exact spot in the first photo next year... something to look forward to.
Tonight, Li'l Bandit and I went to the top of the lift-span bridge in Rio Hondo. We were about 50 feet up; it wasn't any kind of challenge to get up there. For those interested, the bridge crosses the Arroyo Colorado, a small river. Its center section lifts up vertically to allow for barge traffic. This is what the bridge looks like from the side, in the day time. (Spoilered because its a stock photo) Spoiler
I was doing yard work and something different caught my eye... It was a true albino, pink eyes and everything.
