    This is my first weekday off since January. I'm going to read in the sun, do a double feature at the movies, grill, and try to see the fireworks from my roof. My building's not super tall, but I'm hoping that if I can see all of Manhattan and New Jersey that I'll be able to at least see some of the fireworks. I love fireworks. I understood doing them on the Hudson for the big anniversary year three years ago, but they should be back on the East River. Fuck New Jersey. They shouldn't get the good view of the fireworks. Brooklyn should get the view. Argh.

    Also, I just found out my dad's coming down this weekend and we're going to go see a Cyclones game after getting Russian food and I'm so excited.

    I'm split between remaining productive (been cleaning since I woke up) and heading the liquor store to pick up some vodka, beer, and lemonade and mixing it all up. Maybe tea vodka? I think I just made up my mind right there.

    Even though I didn't sleep much past my normal wake-up time, not having an alarm clock felt amazing today. Those "living with kids" stories aren't too appealing.
