    I'm bringing a friend home for Thanksgiving since she doesn't have family in town and we both have to work the next day. I'm glad she's coming....but I'm slightly bummed I can't get buzzed with my family now (I'm driving us back home after dinner). I have a rough time with spending holidays sober. Wah wahhhh.

    I LARPed once and I'm still a little traumatized. Unfortunately I have to do it again in a few months. Boyfriend's cousin is CRAZY SMART (perfect scores on ACT/SAT/GRE, getting a PhD in theoretical math) and is also a LARPer. Since no one in the family can talk to her about the work she does, everyone is making an effort to understand/display interest in other aspects of her life. This means that I am apparently going to spend one day of every MLK weekend from now until eternity in funny clothes, LARPing, and probably failing miserably at it.
