Jeff Foxworthy had an anecdote in one of his books about the first time his wife went into labor where the nurse told them that some stage of dilation that was dangerous or something and the nurse told him not to have sex with his wife, at the hospital, during this period. He asked her what type of animal she thought he was and she just gave him a look and said, "I wouldn't have to say it if it hadn't happened before."
It's actually more common than you think, in a "sexual violence in relationships" kind of way... Edit: also, sex is recommended by health professionals to induce labor of your body isn't progressing and you're super pregnant. But if you're like, dilated and having contractions to throw that kid out, no more penises are needed here.
Okay people, I don't claim to be psychic; I don't believe in it, but sometimes I just get a feeling, an idea, that coincides with other things in the world for no good reason. This is one of those times. Earlier today, I was working on a pump engine, and for whatever reason, Foxworthy's labor/ sex bit came to my mind, specifically the line: "They wouldn't tell ya that unless someone had done it!" Isn't that odd? Why would that pop into my mind today, and it be mentioned later by someone I've never met? That whole Jeff Foxworthy thought process made me think of Li'l Bandit's birth; he was almost a week past his due-date, and my ex and I hadn't banged in over a month. We decided "What's the worst that can happen? We induce labor?" And that's what happened.
Nah, I think it was because of some dumb/ absurd warning label; "Yeah, but someone has probably done it before," I thought. Then the Foxworthy clip played in my head.
